Hi all! I am a long-time player/DM looking to join a group or start a new one. This is for in-person games only. Day and time are fairly open, but it'll have to be evenings, though. I can host at my house and can do most, if not all, the DMing. Right now, I'm running the 5.24 edition with my own homebrew adaptations and unique subclasses available on my Campaign page. If you're interested or have any questions, please respond.
New players welcome. I can teach you the game for really new players. No one under 17 please. This is meant to be an adult game, but if you're looking for a DM for a kids game, please respond. We might be able to work something out.
I saw your post. My wife and I are looking for a beginner friendly, in-person game and we live in the Sherman Oaks area but we don’t mind traveling to find a good/fun table. We are both brand new to the 2024 rules. I used to play in high school (2nd edition!) but my wife has never officially played. We got interested in playing after watching TLoVM and Critical Role.
We are both 40+ years old and work full time, so evenings would work best for us as well.
I’m interested in learning more about your campaign because we have been looking for a more adult/mature game. So if you have room for 2 newbie players, please let me know. You can reach me at thaddeusdnd8913@gmail.com.
The campaign is classic DnD. The setting is Greyhawk. All core classes, subclasses and species (I sometimes still use race because I am not woke.) On my D&DBeyond campaign, I also have many adapted subclasses from 5.14 and several subclasses created by me. These are all usable, but your character has to be created in on my campaign page (I will provide a link.) The Greyhawk setting features civilizations that do not appreciate races of evil origin, i.e. Orcs, Drow and Tieflings. You can play one, but expect torches and pitchforks from the townsfolk. I run a little grittier, more adult game than a lot of the shiny happy games many people run these days. It will begin at 1st level and progress to approximately 12th or 13th, possibly higher. It will feature enemies of fey, dragon, undead, a mixed bag really.
So far, there is only one committed player (newish). There are a couple more experienced players I am waiting to hear from. There is plenty of room for new players. I might suggest a short one-shot adventure for creating characters, learning basic rules and some practice before beginning the main campaign.

We're looking for serious players that don't play too seriously, non-flakey people with a sense of humor that are ready to get playing.
