Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online using voice chat, webcams and Virtual Table Top Experience: all experience welcome, though newer players preferred Location/Time zone: DM's Timezone is BST/GMT. Session day and time will be based on what suits the group. US time zones can be viable. Schedule: A session 0 will be set when players have been found. The plan is for a session once a week, on a day and time decided during the Session 0. Roles sought: Looking for 4 - 5 players. Game style: The game will aim to be rather player led, with overarching story playing a backbone but not main role. The goal is to aim for around 50/50 RP to combat ratio, however this is adjustable based on player preferences.
All spectrum of player are welcome at this table. However, please only apply if you're over 18.
The game is set in a homebrew world including an entirely homebrew pantheon that function less so like traditional d&d gods and more like manifestation of emotions. The campaign will take place on the northern half of the largest continent and is set within the borders of a young, newly formed empire. Players will have the opportunity to explore the various nations within the empire, potentially join one of the many houses, dabble in the politics of the empire, and explore the mysteries of the young world and its history.
If you are the sort of player who likes to come into games with premade "builds" of characters designed to "win" d&d, this game will not be for you. If you're the kind of player who thrives on weaving a fantastical story alongside your fellow players, embracing each others strengths and weaknesses and working together to overcome challenges of all types, this game may be suited to you. This does not mean you cannot come in and play a min - maxed character, or play efficiently. This just means that those expecting to be the forefront of the story, and play the solo protagonist will be solely disappointed.
Those who feel this campaign and group may be to their liking and wish to join, please add me on discord at "phoeniixii" and message me saying you're inquiring about the dnd game. I will have a quick chat with you, preferably over voice chat to ask you about what you are looking for in the game, your experiences and to answer any questions. This will also be used for me to try and gauge how well you may fit into the group. The aim is for everyone at the table to have fun, and enjoy their time. I look forward to hearing from people soon! below is a short introduction to the game, the world and the campaign as a whole.
Introduction
For the last 900 years, the world of Kymeria has lived in relative peace. Under the watchful guidance of the Shades, people have explored the world around them, establishing communities, erecting mighty cities, founding governments, and establishing trade across the world. One of the more recent examples of this can be found on the large continent of Ammara. The 6 nations that occupy its northern half have recently set aside their differences and coalesced into a collective called, The Vellidion Empire. An attempt at unifying this part of the world with the hopes to grow stronger, together, and to settle any petty squabbles that still remain. This new found alliance, and land of relative peace, will be the starting point for our adventure.
The world as a whole has been relatively safe over its short lifespan. With very little wars or catastrophes to speak of. However, as the world gets ready to celebrate the end of its 10th century, the remnants of a forgotten past decide the light has shone brightly long enough. As dark whispers gather in the shadows, the borders between planes wane thin. Have the years of prosperity and peace left the world ill prepared for what's to come? Or will the winds of fate usher in a second era of growth?
Our adventure will begin upon the great lake of Beneforl, situated at the centre of the Vellidion empire. A group of unlikely individuals are set on a path unbeknown to them, that will tie their fates together. As the autumn months come to a close, the nation of Beneforl is celebrating the end of their fishing season. Our soon to be adventurers are currently making their way, each for their own reasons, towards the lakeside town of Foxmarshe within Ashfield, the nation that originally formed the alliance that is today known as the Vellidion Empire. As they move closer to the town they experience the end of the week-long celebrations taking part across the lake, with a beautiful display of an Aurora that forms over the lake at this time every year.
As the sun sets over the great lake, and the flashes of greens, blues, oranges, purples, reds and pinks begin to dance across the sky, the path of fate of our chosen is taken. And though its final end point is still clouded, they're well on their way. Will they be enough to uncover the secrets of Shattered Divinity?
I'm not very picky about what kind of character to play; I simply won't play a Ranger in any capacity. I'm more than okay with waiting to see what role may be recommended to fill in the gaps in the party. One thing that might lower the odds for me is that I'm only free on Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm Pacific time

I am interested, but I do have semi built characters and well they have no full background. So I am open to ideas to further build them . I haven't played a good session in over 5 years and have had to create new characters. I am free most days, and am from the US. DC: kibouzmak. would love to hear back.

thinking of doing an Abjuration Wizard seeking powers beyound the "limit" of modern magic and a way to extend his own life so he can master these spells but will most likly see what the rest of the party is doing and see from there
