Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: I, the DM, am fairly new to the game, my friends however are more expert Location/Timezone: I live in Tokyo, my two friends in Canada Schedule: The idea for now is 4:30-7:30pm PST, we haven't decided the day yet but it'll probably be a weekday (maybe thursday or friday). Roles sought: We are looking for 2+ more players to complete the party Game style: I don't know how to answer to this one. Normal, I guess?
Hey there! My name is Francesco, I'm 31 and I live in Tokyo. Me and two of my friends are looking for 2+ fellow adventurers to start a campaign together! What? You're new to the game and don't know where to start? You're worried that me and my friends will judge you if you cannot remember the effect of that spell you have? Do not worry, my friend! We're just here to make friends and spend some good times together! Also, I'm a beginner myself! This is my second experience as a DM and the first one was like 5 weeks long, so I'm probably the one that should be worried!
About my campaign, I like to create a world that feels variegated, many forces with their own interests and not necessarily related to one another. The players will have to deduce what is related to the "main quest" and what is not. I'm also a big fan of the "Like a Dragon" series. If you know what I'm talking about, you'll know that there are PLENTY of subquests and minigames, and that's another thing I'm trying to create in my world, like sport matches, wagon races, gambling etc. Of course because I create most of this stuff, it can feel clunky at times, but we can improve it together!
Talking about my two friends, they're two extremely chill guys, more experienced than me but with less free time to spend planning for the next session, hence why I am the DM. If you're a beginner they'll be more than happy to help you with your doubts.
So yeah, think about it! We'll be waiting for you! :D
P.S.: During the session there may be a 9-month-old toddler roaming around me and it may get noisy at times (although Discord's noise canceling does a pretty decent job cutting him out, my friends say), so maybe if you hate kids (and I totally understand you, I was like you once) this might not be the best place for you. :(
P.P.S.: Please spare us the tryhard builds that deal one billion damage in one turn, we're here to chill, and that "we" includes me, the DM that has to plan a challenging fight without losing his mind.
Hello! Myself and my partner are interested in getting into a campaign, we're currently working on wrapping up our first. He's been playing a Warforged Cleric and myself a Kobold Drakewarden along with a couple friends and then some lesser-known acquaintances of ours. Some of these people may even be interested in another campaign as well, but for now I am only posting on behalf of (and offering) myself and the partner <3
Little bit about us:
I (30s, she/her) just recently got into TTRPG D&D but have played D&D-style games before including original BG1 & 2 when they first came out, and over 500 hours in BG3 (don't judge me, I'm obsessed lol). I also have done a lot of roleplay - either written (forum-based and one-on-one) or online (GTARP mostly). I love the aspect of building a character - not just the numbers and such, but also the personality, the backstory, all of it!
Partner (20s, he/him) doesn't have quite the extensive roleplay experience I do but has certainly taken very keenly to D&D and has also enjoyed playing some BG3, though I think like myself he would argue that it's not quite as enjoyable as the experience of TTRPG with others. He's particularly interested in a campaign that embraces the more stereotypical fantasy archetypes of D&D, as our more recent campaign was a little more homebrew/steampunk-y and I think he's hungering to pummel some beholders, or more likely get sliced up by some sword spiders and probably absorbed by a gelatinous cube.
We are night owls as he works overnights, weeknights in general would work best for us so that matches up - currently Wed night works best (as far as predictable availability) but we may be able to make other things work.
Shoot me a DM if you'd like my/his Discord or such!
Hey I'm Chris I've run a couple of one shots and am looking into campaigns. I'm fairly This is the first one I've seen listed that fits my Friday schedule, also works for Thursdays if either of those end up being when you play. Only recently got into ttrpgs but have been into fantasy and sci fi my whole life. Hope to hear back but no worries if not hope your group goes well regardless.
Hi Lozioben. I’d love to try and be apart of your adventure. I’m a relatively experienced player who has DMed homebrew games before and understand the challenges it brings. I haven’t been able to play for a couple years so I may be rusty, but I should pick it up fast. I’m happy to fill roles as needed and help out where I can. My schedule works best around Mondays and Tuesdays, but I work night shift so late into the evening is not a problem. If this is a good timeframe for you guys, I’d be happy to hop onboard! Please feel free to give me a shout if you have other questions or would like to include me.
Hi, my name is Alex and this time slot fits perfectly into my schedule no matter what the day. I’m 25, creative and looking to better understand this game (despite playing for almost 2 years now I still am lear New things) I love exploring a fantasy world to find out all its hidden lore, the people that inhabit it and the culture of the land. While my play style tends towards impulsively, I do love slowing down to work out a problem. Please dm me if you are interested in discussing more, as i would love to join up with you.
me and my friend are interested in your campaign if you still have spots open, we have played a campaign or two so we aren’t to experienced, the time you have for fridays works for us, we are wanting to try and get better at role playing characters and just want characters we can get attached to, my discord is dragonscale270 if you are wanting to discuss it more, we hope for your replies and would be ecstatic if you accepted us. Thank you for your time.
