Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online/ either Experience: a few years Location/Timezone: America EST Availability: after 6pm Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday Preferred role: Player Game style: im looking for anything, a mix or any and everything; I’ve been DM for pretty much every campaign ever, and I have lots of wonderful character ideas.
If you’ve been the DM forever and are finally looking to bring your character ideas to life, The Nexus could be just the break you need. We're an 18+ LGBTQIA+ friendly D&D 5e community on Discord, running a flexible Westmarch-style setup—with a twist. Instead of one shared world, your character ventures from a central hub to explore a range of unique settings, each run by a different DM.
It’s a great way to enjoy a variety of playstyles without having to run the show yourself. Most sessions are one-shots, though some DMs do run longer arcs, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to try out your character concepts.
We use 2014 5e rules with all official sources allowed. Characters start at level 3 with a 35 Point Buy, and there’s no level cap—just a proficiency bonus cap at +10, which really opens the door for fun multiclass builds. You can play through live voice sessions or play-by-post if you want a more flexible pace.
If that sounds like your kind of space, check us out on the forum here.
