Availability: preferably monthly game, or bi weekly on Friday or Sunday nights. But can potentially do a week day evening from 6pm (would need to discuss)
Experience:
Ive played in a few small games before starting DMing myself for home brewed open worlds of possibilities where I was challenged to think on the spot each session and go with what the player wants. Because of this I genuinely love the RP side of DnD and really want to use it as a player. Saying that I’m also a massive tactics nerd so combat is always up my alley BUT I will always side with what my character would do rather than what might be best strategically at the time. (Not a fan of min maxing players)
looking for a fun and relaxed group that appreciates and respects what the DM has created (and doesn’t burn or kill everything in sight). And a DM who allows that freedom from players, and works with them, not against them.
Hey Aaron! Your approach to D&D sounds like a good match for The Nexus, a welcoming and 18+ LGBTQAI+ friendly Discord-based D&D 5e community that truly values roleplay, player freedom, and respectful collaboration with DMs. Our unique Westmarch-style setup sends characters from a common hub into different persistent worlds—each run by a DM who crafts their own setting and story, encouraging player-driven choices and deep RP. Most games are one-shots that let you jump in without long-term commitment, but some DMs do run longer arcs. We use the 2014 5e rules and all official sources. Characters start at level 3 with a generous 35 Point Buy, and while there’s no level cap, proficiency bonus is capped at +10, encouraging creativity over min-maxing. Our community is flexible with scheduling and supportive of thoughtful play styles that prioritize character motivations over strict optimization.
I just rolled a fresh lawful good druid based on Bob Ross. I've been lfg for awhile now, and your campaign sounds right up my alley. I'm new to DND (only ever took part in a single campaign) but this sounds fun. If you need a player, I'll be happy to join.
Hi, thanks for the message. ideally if it had to be on a weekday it would have to be either Monday or Wednesday. Would it be starting at a specific level if it’s been going for 2 years (extremely impressive btw)

If this sounds like a great fit, check out my forum post here!
Which weekday(s) at 6pm uk time? I could, as a free DM, invite you to a 2 year long campaign, based on Tomb of Annihilation.
