I've been wanting to do this for a while now but I'm pretty axious about it, so I'm just going to force myself to now. I haven't played any TTRPG in more than 10 years and with my garbage memory I might as well be completely new to all of this so it would help if the group is mostly ne players, but I'm not bothered either way. Anyways, here is my stuff:
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online preferably, I have Discord if needed. Experience: Might as well be zero. Location/Timezone: UK, West Coast Scotland (GMT) Availability: Basically any day of the week except Sunday, preferably around the hours of 20:00-00:00 but I may be able to be more flexible than that. Preferred role: Player Game style: Anything really, but I would prefer it to be more "new player friendly" so I can learn.
Thanks very much for taking the time to read this post. Here is my discord in the off chance you'd rather contact me there: themasqueraider
Totally get the nerves—jumping back into D&D after a break can feel like a lot, but you’re definitely not alone in that. If you're looking for a welcoming place to ease back in and start rolling some dice again, I'd love to invite you to The Nexus.
We're an 18+ LGBTQAI+ friendly community that supports players from all walks of life and all experience levels, including folks who are brand new or returning after a long time away. The Nexus runs on a Westmarch-style system, which means we don’t follow one single campaign or world—each DM runs their own setting, and you can join sessions that interest you without being locked into one storyline. It's flexible, and it gives you a chance to find your footing at your own pace.
Sessions are hosted daily across a range of time zones, including UK-friendly hours, and we offer both live games and Play-by-Post/TRP options, so there’s space to get comfortable even if you’re still brushing off the cobwebs. You’ll be able to create and play multiple characters starting at level 3 with a generous 35 Point Buy, and we use the 2014 ruleset with all official 5e content available.
If you're looking for a relaxed, story-driven space to explore your character and meet other cool folks, we’d be happy to have you.

You can check us out here. Hope to see you around!
Thanks for the response. I'll keep this in mind for future and maybe check it out if things don't work out with the person I'm currently talking to.
