Hey, I am a new player wanting to learn how to play DND. I am a BIG fan of RPG's, and I really want to learn how to play DND since I constantly watch people play it on twitch, YouTube and other social media. I do have a LITTLE knowledge over the game, but I am really willing to give this a try since I am a fan of it. I just want to hear if there is any group that is willing to carry a noob with them on an epic adventure. my time zome is MST and i am available sat-sun
You're absolutely welcome in our community—we're newbie-friendly with a strong support system built just for players like you who are ready to take their first steps into the world of D&D!
We run a Westmarch-style setup with multiple DMs, each managing their own worlds, so you’ll have tons of opportunities to explore different stories and find your pace. We also offer Play-by-Post and text-based RP channels, which are perfect for learning in a lower-pressure environment between live sessions.
We use the 2014 5e ruleset with access to all official content through D&D Beyond campaign links, and you’ll start at level 3 with a 35 Point Buy, giving your first character a solid foundation. Sessions are one-shots tied together by an evolving story, and we have games running every day, so your weekend availability should line up well with MST evening games.
Most importantly, we're an 18+ LGBTQIA+ friendly space that values inclusivity and encouragement.
If you are still looking for a game, I'm starting a new homebrew campaign called Myrrithan: The Age of Discovery. We have a core group of players that have been together for over two years. One of them, just like you, was a first-time player when she joined, and she now runs a ton of D&D stuff on her own. I'm more than happy to walk you through everything and help iron out any bumps or concerns that might come up.
