Hello, I'm Brad (he/him) I'm a professional theatre technician and DM. I'm looking for like minded players without schedule conflicts to fill our team for some out-of-the-book Saturday morning D&D. A bit about myself: I love theatre, the performing arts, and all entertainment. I dabble in graphic arts inasmuch as my hobby requires. I'm a writer and improvisor and actor. My first D&D character was a bard, can you tell? I grew up on video games from Super Nintendo thru all the PlayStation generations. I love the cinematic interactive storytelling of video games and learning D&D was a natural extension of that. I started playing D&D in 2020, but I was always the type of kid who *would* play D&D. So now, as an adult I get to be a kid again. If this resonates with you, if you were a weird artistic nerdy kid in the arts and you just want to spend a few hours on Saturday mornings playing some D&D in a safe space,
Table Manners: - NO sexual aggression or violence - NO racial aggression or violence - NO gender aggression or violence - Punctuality and attendance are a must - Good vibes only - no hate tolerated - Progressive artistic players preferred
Story game info: The half abandoned, crusty, backwater town of Saltmarsh sits lonely on the coast of the Azure Sea. The Town Council has enlisted the help of a group of adventurers to investigate strange goings on in the area. Recently the body of a young girl washed ashore in prisoner's garb with her hands tied. She was recognized as one of a duo of adventurers who went to check out the haunted house on the hill outside of town. Our heroes discovered not a haunt, but a smuggling ring headed up by one of the Sea Princes was operating out of the house, moving goods and weapons for local lizardfolk. The Town Council wants to know what the lizardfolk are preparing, and if it presents a danger to Saltmarsh.
We are a group of 3 players and myself, one of our players is on a break for the time being. We're on level 3 and the second chapter of Ghosts of Saltmarsh. We have a fighter, a wizard, and a cleric on deck. New players will participate in a session 0 with me one-on-one before getting into game play. I start each episode with a recap of the previous game, character question of the day, and then get into play. We'll have two 10 minute breaks each episode.
Technical game info: - Saturdays 9 am - 12 pm Pacific - D&D 2014: all options available except 2024 - Foundry VTT: hosted thru the Forge, full 5e compendium with character sheet support, dice rolls, maps and tokens. Tech savvy players preferred - Discord Video and Voice: camera required!
If you've read this far, thank you! If you skipped this far, shame. Reply below and answer the following questions for consideration! - what's your name and preferred pronouns? Tell me about yourself as a player, artist, and whatever else you do - what's your favorite D&D class(es) to play? Tell me an epic story about one of your characters - what was *my* first D&D character I played? - pitch to me a character design you want to play
