Dragons of Ice is the 5th in a series of the FIRST 16 Dragonlance adventures published by TSR, Inc. (TSR) between 1984 and 1988 and it is the first module that covers the events of the New York Times best selling novel: Dragon of Winter Night. It is the beginning of the story immediately after the events in Dragons of Autumn Twilight and is a key chapter in what is considered the standard to which all great RPG campaigns seek to achieve.
The Dragonlace saga continues!
The refugees from Pax Tharkas are safe in the dwarven kingdom of Thorbardin. You are in the ancient port of Tarsis searching for ships to bear them out of the dragonarmy's reach.
But nothing in silent Tarsis is as you expected. The sea receded in the Cataclysm; no ship will ever set sail from Tarsis again. Draconians openly roam the deserted city streets. A new quest is before you: to find one of the legendary Dragon Orbs, mighty weapons that destroyed the dragons in ancient times.
An adventure like no other calls the heroes to re-discover the greatest gift given to the mortal races, to find a safe haven for hundreds of desperate refugees, and unearth the first secrets that might lead to the power of the Dragonlance which (as legend has it) can stop wars.
ABOUT THE DM
I've been hosting regular games with great success since 1993 back when I started DMing at my 7th grade school lunch table full of friends.. I remember recruiting players out of The Red Dragon Inn on AOL for impromptu instant messenger Dragonlance games back towards the end of the BBS era. I am 44 years old now and I have never really NOT been a DM of a D&D group pretty much my entire life. I am a forever DM and I've been doing it on Roll20 for over 8 years now! As a community service I admin some of the largest dungeon master help groups on facebook and have also started moderating on Reddit because it's the shit. I still know how to use THAC0. In my opinion, 3.5 is NOT the greatest edition. I've even written a few dmsguild modules that are making their rounds.
I'm ultimately a chill church of the dude homie. When not doing the D&D thing I'm a rock n roll union musician and I've donated decades of my life helping out schools with computer network and humanitarian aid issues. Let's roll some dice and spin some records. hmu ;)
