*An eldritch storm of falling stars devastated the city, leaving behind a meteorite that would have lasting effects. Fifteen years later, Drakkenheim is a dismal urban wasteland contaminated by otherworldly magic and haunted by hideous monsters. Shards of magically potent but corrupting and unstable delirium crystal grow across the city, desired by mage and smuggler alike. In addition to delirium, fantastic wealth, lost knowledge, and powerful artifacts all lie ready for the taking.
However, even those who survive the dangers of Drakkenheim may not return unmarked by it's terrors...*
Hey everyone!
I am looking for three players to join the final 10-ish session of this campaign. It is set in the world of the Drakkenheim 15 years after a meteor shower destroyed the city of Drakkenheim.
This campaign will be a grim/dark setting, where common people struggle to survive and choices you make are often lose/lose.
I ask that all players can commit to all sessions, which will be ran weekly on Thursdays, 7PM GMT, starting 20th of November or the 27th depending on availability, and are 18+. The game is roughly about 70/30 RP/Combat, so I'm looking for players who are really into that and have some experience with it. You will be joining at Level 8, with players that have been here since Level 1.
Answers to FAQS -
It will be ran on Discord and Roll20. As a DM I prioritise story over exact rulings, but won't break the rules constantly. I ask that your characters are tied to one of the main factions, which I will go into more detail with you on during character creation.
The game will be Gritty and dark. Be a good team player, more in RP than combat, D&D is co-operative, party arguments and disagreements can be fun. Constantly squabbling that spills out of game is not.
For anyone who wishes to apply, please answers the questions below, and get back to me here! If you have a friend/s who you think would also like to join, apply as a pair/trio having 2/3 people know each other already is great. You will be joining 2 people who I have played with before.
1 - Hey! What should we call you and what are your pronouns? I'm Jim He/Him
2 - Tell me a bit about yourself and your experience with TTRPGS and RP. I would have 4 years experience as a DM and player.
3 - What sort of character would you normally be looking to play? I won't ever ask someone to play a paticular class if they don't want to. We currently have a Barbarian and Wizard.
4 - Have you ever had a bad d&d experience, particularly with a DM? If so what was it?
5 - If we disagree on a ruling, how will you deal with it? Many rules are open to interpretation in dnd, this can cause arguments, which I hope to avoid!
6 - Do you have any questions for me?
Thanks for reading, I appreciate it was a lot! I look forward to your replies.

Dave or my char name. He/him

Found online 5e a couple years ago and have played in several campaigns under several DMs
3 - What sort of character would you normally be looking to play? I won't ever ask someone to play a paticular class if they don't want to. We currently have a Barbarian and Wizard.
Dwarf clerics and Elven rangers are my go-to's
4 - Have you ever had a bad d&d experience, particularly with a DM? If so what was it?
Yes. Left a campaign because the DM gave us unrecognizable situations too often with no frame of reference and no explaination of how we got there. Once put a mimic in the bar in the center of town.

As a former DM (30 years ago) I always grant DM priviledge. Don't care if the rules say A and the DM says B, it's their world and what they say is final. Now if a DM abuses this license, we'll have to make a decision about staying.
6 - Do you have any questions for me?
I don't like gore. Tragic deaths happen, but I don't want the campaign wallowing in it. If you're going to make this gory, I'm not your man.

I would be interested in at least an interview.
1. I can go by Ryan, Bunnychunk, or my character name. He/Him
2. I have about 5 years of actually playing dnd with one of those years being a DM
3. I play any class that isn't Ranger... I change pretty often
4. I haven't had many groups i have played with, so I haven't had anything particularly bad happen
5. I will state my opinion, but its the DMs world and game, so I won't push it further
6. Can't think of anything in particular, might have some during the interview
