Game: D&D 2e, 3, 3.5, 5e; call of cthulu, pathfinder, Dungeon Crawl Classics. Group preferred: Face-to-face Experience: Veteran Location/Timezone: Boise, Idaho Availability: Weekends, some evenings Preferred role: Player Game style: Roleplaying, creativity, realism.
What I bring to the table: I'm down for any situation you throw me into. 0-level? yes! Monsters we should run away from because their CR is way beyond us? Yes! My character dies because he charged in headlong all alone? Yeah that's pretty much what you'd expect. I like to do a voice for my characters. I don't think everyone should have to do that, but I hope my voice is appreciated. I'll tend to describe the actions my character takes or attempts to take, and let the DM dictate mechanics to me. ("I throw my dagger into the wall next to the captured bandit's head to scare him" then wait for instructions, not "I do an intimidate check"). Happy to help track initiative, take party notes, or other helpful roles.
Things I appreciate in a DM: The world should allow for creative ideas to be attempted and dumb ideas should usually fail. Know what result will be a success or failure before the roll, and be ready to dole out the consequences.
