We play every Wednesday at 5 PM MST (6 PM CST, 8 PM EST), and each session lasts about 3 hours. If needed, we can start a couple of hours earlier or later, but not by much. The campaign should last around two to three months, depending on everyone’s schedules and interests. Each player can miss up to 2 sessions without issue. Please let the group know at least 24 hours ahead if you can’t make it. If someone is absent or late, we’ll catch them up or adjust the story as needed. If you miss a session, we’ll either work your character into the story or say they’re off doing something fitting, like painting or going on a side adventure.
We use D&D Beyond’s Virtual Tabletop for gameplay and Discord for voice chat and sharing pictures. Everyone should be able to use both.
We play D&D 5E 2024, starting at level 3 with milestone leveling. Roll for your stats, and you can reroll once. The campaign is PG-13 high fantasy with some darker parts. You can expect to act out your character, solve puzzles, fight battles, make important choices, and have chances to make friends or rivals. All classes and races from the D&D 5E 2024 handbook are allowed, but please check with me about any custom or homebrew options. Backgrounds should fit the campaign’s setting and themes. I’ve planned 3 to 4 main sessions to go from level 3 to 5, with short adventures in between. If everyone is having fun, we can keep the campaign going.
We have two players and are looking for two more who can join regularly and make characters that fit the story and setting. Please be easygoing and respectful. We like some dark humor and playful teasing, but keeping things friendly is important. Our goal is to play D&D, have fun, and make sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable.
We welcome newer players, but ask that you have some experience. You should know the basic rules, have played in a campaign, or at least know D&D terms. We want to build a group that meets regularly and plays together in future one-shots and campaigns. We value players who enjoy a mix of acting out their characters, planning battles, and telling stories. Focusing on character growth, teamwork, and building a shared story will help our group succeed.
We’re on our first session and already had a session zero. If you’re interested, message me on Discord my id is (412843976643837954) or (my username is platapusa) and I’ll fill you in. Once you reach out, we can have a quick chat to discuss your character ideas and make sure our expectations align. This will help you join the group smoothly and make sure we all have a good time.
[5] Additional Information
I’ve been running D&D games for a year or two, and I’m always trying to improve. I’ve run several sessions and a few one-shots. I do my best, but I’m not like the DMs you see on YouTube. I’m always open to feedback and suggestions.
I have several big sessions planned that will be part of the story. While there’s a basic outline, your choices will shape how the adventure goes. Depending on what you do, new paths can open, alliances can change, and surprises can happen. Here are the main sessions I have planned, which will come up as we play.
The Master’s Call: Monster Hunt
Dimes 4 Crimes: Heist
Dance Under The Orange Moon: Mystery
What you decide can change and shape the adventure.
There will also be a treasure hunt.
You’ve spent most of your savings to join the semi-famous Order of Helm & Heart in Xanatran City. You were a solo adventurer until the guild master picked you for a quest. After the guild master left, your quest was given to someone else, so you took a job that led to the rumored Underdark. No one thinks the place is real, but now you’ll find out.
You were a solo adventurer until the guild master chose each of you for a quest. But after the guild master left, your quest was given away, so you took a job at a place called the Underdark. No one believes it exists, but you’ll have to find out if it’s real or just a myth.
You’ll get your teammates after the quest.
You will know rumors about each other, but that’s all.
