Hey Aayce, my name is SirZackary or Zak, whichever you prefer, if you are interested I am a currently running a Exandria (Critical Role) setting campaign, we are looking for a couepl new players. We play on Saturdays right now and will be resuming our game after the holidays in January, we used to be an in person group based in Texas but are moving to online, my discord information is sirzackary but i will also send you DM here on Dnd beyond.
Hey Ace — you sound like a great fit for what we run.
If you’re open to something a bit broader than a single fixed table, I’d strongly recommend checking out The Nexus. It’s an 18+ LGBTQAI+ friendly D&D community that leans heavily into character-driven, long-term storytelling, while still keeping things laid back and social.
Rather than one campaign, we run a Westmarch-style setup, where multiple DMs each host their own worlds and storylines. That means you can jump into games that fit your Friday evenings or Sundays PST, without being locked into a rigid schedule or worrying about a campaign collapsing if one person can’t make it.
What we offer (and what tends to click with players like you):
18+ LGBTQAI+ friendly community (mandatory, enforced)
Westmarch style — each DM runs their own world and narrative
Global community, games running every day across time zones
D&D 5e (2014 ruleset) using all official content
Story- and RP-forward tables, with combat when it serves the narrative
Level 3 start, generous 35-point buy
No level cap (proficiency bonus capped at +10)
D&D Beyond campaign links for easy content sharing
Play by Post / TRP options available alongside live sessions
Very welcoming to experienced roleplayers who enjoy long-form character arcs
A lot of our players are exactly what you described: chill, creative, invested in the story, and excited for the next session rather than chasing optimization.
