"As your ship travels through the threshold, it becomes clear that the world you stand in, is a place of shadow and death. The sickly sun hidden by clouds, a sense of chill down your back that pierces your very soul. You have arrived at the Shadowfell. A place native to the dead, you are merely a guest. As your eyes begin to adjust to the shadowcasted world, you see your destination. Home to a myriad of factions plotting against one another and currently being besieged by the Domain of Ravenloft; the City that Lives, the City of Midnight, Gloomwrought. awaits ahead!”
Hello, I’m making this post looking for another player to join our DnD Ravenloft domain hopping campaign. We have three players; a Threadborn Paladin, a Half-Elf Bard, and a Werewolf Barbarian. We’re about 21 sessions into the game with the characters being 5th level. I plan on ending the game around 13th level or so.
Premise: This will be a free, 18+ campaign and will be a city based adventure mixed with various Domains of Ravenloft. With the domains interposing themselves into the city. Causing death and chaos in a city already full of death and chaos.Your character will be discovering what or who is causing them and putting a stop to them. While dealing with the many factions within the city. This game will feature quite a lot of roleplay and combat. If you ever wanted to play a weird, horror, or spooky theme character; this is the campaign for you! I’m allowing 3rd party content such as Crooked Moon or Grim Hollow. Others could be allowed, with approval.
Themes: Horror, City Adventuring, Political Intrigue, & Open World
Inspiration: Here’s some pieces of media that I’ve taken inspiration for the game; Bloodborne, Resident Evil, Matt Colville’s Chain of Acheron game, and the Black Company.
Game: 5e 2024, using DnD Beyond, Roll20, and Discord.
Schedule: Tuesday @ 5 PM Central Time with sessions around 4 hours long.
About Me: I’ve been running dnd for about nine years now. I would describe myself as a collaborative DM who likes to work with players to tell interesting and unique stories. I’m a big advocate that the DM should be a fan of the characters. I take a long of DM tips from both Sly Flourish and Matt Colville. If this game interests you, then message me or leave a comment and we'll set up an interview.
Hey, I got this archfey warlock that I’d like to play, her Patreon is the queen of the unseelie fey. I got a fully fleshed out backstory and everything.
