Hiya everyone! I'm a very new DM and building a campaign for my friends and maybe a couple of new comers. It's a fantasy setting using the adventuring rank system as the level up theme. Sandbox elements and it's built to be a long term campaign. I'm wanting to play weekly on Saturday, haven't set a time yet as I don't know everyone's schedule and timezones. But they wanted me to make a post so we can have a four person party. I'm still learning DnD so I may not be perfect, but hopefully everyone will be patient with me as I may have to look up rulings or think of things on the fly. I also don't mind any help! I'm currently working on the world map and the world lore, so it may be a few weeks until it's ready to post, but if anyone is interested feel free to reply and I'll answer whatever questions I can! There is a BBEG in the campaign and the map is going to be homebrewed. So I'm working on that, some house rulings, stat blocks, and soon will be looking into battle maps that are a bit nicer than the ones on DND beyond. Not that those are bad, but I want the players to be as immersed as possible! I'm making music and ambience playlists as well. Also! I don't care if you use AI art or commissioned art or doing it yourself! Not everyone has the money for art and stuff so I understand! If this post interests you, let me know! Thanks for viewing! Also this is for ONLINE!
Hiya! I'd like to join, I'm also kind of a newbie to D&D I played a campaign with my friends about a year ago and I'm looking to get back into D&D so I'd love to be a part of your campaign and make some new friends :)
Hello! I could be interested but it kind of depends on the time it takes place. I'm in CET time zone. I have about 3 years experience as player, and in the 3 years, I have also done a bit of DM'ing.
Can you reveal anything about the plot, any lore or some kind of teaser?
Sure thing! I'm in central standard time! (CST) And this is what I have so far! (Subject to change)
In the age of Ascendant Guilds, when the world of Astryndor flourishes under united races and thriving capitals of every discipline, fate stirs once more.
For centuries, adventurers have risen through the ranks of grand guilds—swordsmen forging legends in the Bladewind Citadel, mages shaping reality in the Arcane Spire, artificers crafting wonders in the Forge-Cities, and monks mastering body and spirit in the Pillars of Serenity. Across this vibrant world, guild halls hum with quests, exploits, and the dreams of rising heroes.
But prosperity casts long shadows.
Whispers spread through taverns and guild halls—rumors of ancient doors cracking open beneath the great cities, of forgotten dungeons awakening, each layered with dangerous floors teeming with monsters long thought extinct. At their depths, fanatical draconic priests stir, channeling forbidden power.
Their worship is not of a living dragon… but of Vorthaal, The Wyrm of Oblivion—a primordial black dragon whose coming was once foretold only in myth. A being of hunger, ruin, and endless night, whose shadow is said to devour entire ages.
Now, the priests seek to restore him.
And the signs have begun.
Ashfall storms on clear days. Animals fleeing the forests. Stars disappearing from the night sky, one by one.
The Guild Council has issued a call. Not for soldiers. Not for armies.
But for adventurers.
Those who dare enter the deep dungeons beneath each great city. Those bold enough to face the draconic priests. Those willing to grow stronger, unlock new power, and stand against a threat older than history.
Your journey begins at the lowest rank—new faces, fresh gear, and everything to prove. But the path ahead is yours to carve.
Rise through the guild ranks. Claim the treasures of the infinite dungeons. Uncover the secrets of Vorthaal’s return. And decide whether Astryndor's bright age becomes its final chapter.
Welcome, adventurers… to the Campaign of the Wyrm of Oblivion.
