Looking for players for a homebrew Ravenloft campaign. This is a paid campaign, $15 per player. LGBTQ+ friendly. Safe space. Character development and session 0 are included at no cost. The game is online on Thursdays at 8PM Eastern, ending around 10PM Eastern. We use Discord and Foundry. We'll start when all seats fill. Since we're just now starting to fill them, it's a great time to bring a friend while there's room.
I'm a veteran DM since 2nd Edition and have been running games professionally for two years. My approach is story-first and this campaign will be atmospherically heavy, with mystery and peril.
There was a sudden and unmistakable chill to the air. Like a sigh, blowing over the water as if it were exhaled from something long forgotten. Kher Ghammon looked ahead with unease. He was in the lead. That meant focusing on what was ahead, leaving the others to their roles - watching, moving silently, treading carefully, like they had done during dozens of hunts before this one. Still, the feeling wouldn't settle. His eyes turned briefly to the lake.
He wasn't alone in that thought. The rest of the group were slowly distancing themselves from its shore, favoring the right side of the trail. No signal or order had been given, none was needed.
Five figures walked the path around the edge of the lake, and only one of them had walked it before.
Bartleb.
The wizard had gone quiet when the mists deposited them here. This was his home - Kher could tell by the way Bartleb carried himself, and the way that his already pale skin had seemed to turn a more deathlike white upon realizing where they had landed. Whatever memories stirred beneath that manufactured calm, they were not comforting ones.
Bartleb didn't look afraid - but he was.
Welcome to the domains of Ravenloft, where 'On Borrowed Breath' resides.
Join us online for my newest homebrew campaign.
After a devastating attack, a group of survivors is drawn into unfolding crises across the Mists, often arriving just before catastrophe and learning that intervention sometimes carries consequences.
The campaign blends investigation, survival, and mystery. Players explore haunted settlements, confront horrors, and slowly unravel the truth behind a strange lantern, a forgotten transit hub known as the Black Line Station, and the systems that keep the nightmare moving.
These stories connect into a larger tragedy, in a world that often responds harshly to those who interfere.
If you’re willing to intentionally walk into the fog… Welcome.
