About Me: Hi! I'm the DM, Dreamer! I'm an avid fan of D&D and serial dungeon master. I got into D&D when I was a teenager, but started DMing for real during the pandemic. I ran two other campaigns for 3 years collectively (each of them 1.5 years long), both of them wrapped up as of last year!
Why should you join my game? If you are looking for a consistent DM, who won't miss sessions and will give you the best experience they possibly can every session, then you are in the right place. I may struggle with voices here and there, but at the end of the day we're all here to have fun!
If you are interested, please apply below and please list the following! - Name - Age - Pronouns/Gender/Sex - A bit about yourself - Fleshed out Character idea you think will be fun (Give a rundown of race, age, class, summary backstory, personality, etc.) - Time zone you live in, so I can reference to PST - What you like about DND(Combat, Roleplay, Exploration, etc.) - And anything else you feel is fitting!
About me: Long-time nerd and gamer, fairly fresh to actually playing TTRPG's. Only about two years experience, and that wasn't especially regular. I prefer weeknights to weekends, as weekends are often family days or chore-doing days, but a 6 PM (9 for me) would still work on a weekend.
Character Concept: A bumbling Wood Elf Cleric (maybe a Tempest Cleric) in his high 100's who - despite a recent screw-up involving [an accidental cast of the Thunderwave spell], knocking most books off the shelves in the library - has been given an extremely important and valuable task: take this sealed box containing a dangerous relic and deposit it in the most obscure and remote location he can find. It's a very important, secret task, but the [Temple head] knows that [PC] is the right one for this very valuable and important task. (The PC has not yet considered the possibility that there might not really be a dangerous artifact in the box, but that he was just being sent away for being a screw-up.)
He has the password/key to open the box, but has been instructed not to.

What I like about D&D: The idea of participating in an interactive story. I prefer a 40-40-20 mix of role-playing, combat, and exploration.
Discord: I have a discord account, if the OP wants to contact me via discord they can message me on the DDB forums, but I don't want to post it publicly for too long.
EDIT 2: I also second the question about whether this is intended to be a paid game or not, as while the OP says they've become a professional DM, there's no "Paid" tag, nor an indication in the OP suggesting there's a price. Thanks for clearing that up, OP.
About me: been playing ever since I was 12, I like writing stories and learning about folk traditions and stories. I'd mainly prefer weekdays but I can do weekends on the evenings.
Character concept: a depressed elf fighter who has experienced centuries fighting, and has many scars both outside and inside to show for it. After decades in a drunken retirement she has grown soft, and has gotten rusty with her fighting skills, and feeling like she has no reason to go on. However one night outside of a tavern she frequented she came across two larger boys beating up a smaller one. She managed to scare them off and the other one ran away as well. She felt good after it, and so she has set out to help more people, in an effort to regain her former skills as a fighter and her will to live. In terms of age I imagined her as being a fairly older elf, so somewhere in the 460-500 year range. She is constantly tired, annoyed, and pissed at the short sightedness of the younger folk, but at the end of the day always smiles at them when they aren't looking, admiring how they still look at the world with such wonder, it reminds her of the beauty this world still holds.

What I like about playing d&d: I mainly like roleplaying aspects, but I also like getting into the mechanics of combat especially as it pertains to what the monsters can do. I also like a decent puzzle every now and then.
- A bit about yourself: Avid crafter, gardener, cat parent, married, ttrpg and dice game nerd
- Fleshed out Character Idea: Snowleopard tabaxi cryomancer. 20's, warlock/wizard, from a small mountain village with much book knowledge of the world but little actual practical experience in it.

What I like about DnD: I'm about 60/40 roleplay to combat. I like dice! I also enjoy puzzles and exploration.
Name: Zel Aged: Middle Pronouns/Gender/Sex: he/him A bit about yourself: A seasoned nerd with approximate knowledge of many things. I tend to over prepare? I love wit, dry humour, and sneaking subtle geeky references references into content. Character idea:
A grizzled multiclass halfling survivor, 96 years young. A sledge dog driver who has become unsettled after one too many journeys watching half-seen shadowy forms melting away in the midst of driving snow... Knowing deep in his psyche that there's always something out there after each caravan run watching and waiting for a dog to slip and the speed to fail, and worrying no amount of prayers to tymorra will ever be enough. After this last trip his neighbours swear he's come home with a new twinkle in his eye, and a grin looking just a little too trained - nobody knows what happened to the dogs or how the sledge made it back.
Envisioned as a multiclass fighter/warlock - focused as a midline support/skirmisher/lasher/controller. Comfortable with managing logistics.

I enjoy all elements of DnD, 40c/30r/30e. For me, getting to explore a new world/scenario in an interactive adventure is an amazing thing and I love immersing myself in an exciting tale of grit and survival.

I often work from home, so availability is flexible. When I'm not playing games or watching something, I enjoy camping, snowboarding, flora/fauna identification, and bonsai. Character: So far, I've only been creating characters inspired by any given campaign I join. In lieu of a character I will make for this campaign, I'll list a couple existing ones just to get a taste of my range.
An elderly and goofy half-elf half-halfling college of lore bard who grew up in a rural area. He's self-taught, so his methods can be rather unconventional and appear idiotic to the classically trained. He sounds like an Alabamian Kermit.
A stoic and vengeful dragonborn open hand monk. He grew up a street urchin in a dystopian city. He was caught stealing from his soon-to-be teacher and father figure. He gave him discipline and purpose, and taught him control and patience...until he was assassinated, hence the vengeful bit. His voice is inspired by Khajiit; Raspy, Arabic with a little Columbian, and a general nefarious undertone.
Zone: PST What I like: I enjoy a balanced mix combat, roleplay, and exploration, but if I had to pick one then I'd say roleplay. However, I also enjoy when inter-party conflict arises, so that's kind of like the combat of roleplay (that's not to say I start fights with other PCs willy-nilly). I'm also a big fan of running gags.
About Me: I'm normally a DM, with about 11 years of experience under my belt. I've got tons of hobbies like Art, Writing, Cooking, Minifig Making, Homebrewing, Map Making, and Woodworking. I work in a liquor store, with a very flexible schedule to make every session!
My Character(s):
Elenora - A Proper lady, a noble, and a run away bride. Fleeing to the north in an attempt to make her own name, and her own money to avoid her fathers scornful fist. Sword Bard, fighter multiclass.
Krux - A primal beast, hunting the most vicious, and dangerous creatures he can to strengthen his renown. Beast barbarian, maybe rogue multiclass.
Tickery - An Owlin inventor, following their dream to fly across the sky by any means necessary. Artificer battle smith, thief rogue.

Thalos Tidebreaker, Sea Elf, 30, Barbarian. One winter his clan's hunting grounds grew barren. He had heard tales of an unnatural cold seeping into the seas from the dry lands, causing currents to become so cold that they've frozen solid. Thalos foolishly swore to his starving kin, and to the goddess Trishina, to find the source of the chill and end it. His journey carried him to the frozen frontier of Icewind Dale, where an eternal winter had ensnared the land. To Thalos, the winter was not just a foe, it was a rival tide - a storm to be challenged.

I would like to play a wood elf winter walker ranger, age around 100 years, who lived in this land before the evernight came, and strives to return light to his homeland. They are warm with others and try to bring comradery everywhere they go, to unity the community of this lands so that as many people can survive until the spell will be undone.
I live in UTC+3 but don't regard this as a problem, i can make this time every time. I like verything about D&D! Meaningful roleplay is great, story-relevant combat is awesome and any exploration is what i'm ready to die for! I really like teamplay and collaborative storytelling too!
There are three of us here so I'll separate each of us.
Me
Name : Teddie
Age : 33
Pronouns : He/Him
A bit about yourself : My brain is constantly on repeat of anime, games, epic soundtracks and writers block. Been trying my hand at DND for years only got really serious about diving into it this past year. I've played pathfinder 1st and 2nd for nearly 2 years before the discord server went south. I'm DMing my own game on Wednesday nights but pretty much free any other evening.
Fun character : A shifter ranger, in his early twenties, who left his tribe to start the process of becoming a moon speaker, the spiritual guides of the tribes. Growing up, he was always the quiet one of the group and even after his Taming of the Beast Within, he kept to himself. Partially as a joke, the elders gave him the quest of finding his voice, but he took it seriously and decided if he's going to start being a voice, his voice was going to have power. Multiclassing into moon druid with a few levels of gloomstalker ranger, he will eventually become the tribes voice and protector from the shadows of the New Moon.

What you like about DND? : Everything, even the nat 1s. Wild take, I know. Im still learning the roleplay portion because I'm not quick with words all the time. I can form them intricately, just takes me a moment. So if say I'm about at 40 combat 40 explore and 20 roleplay, subject to change.
Random fun fact : I am currently attempting to build my own world for roleplay and dice work fun with my friends.
Name Kara - Age 32 - Pronouns/Gender/Sex she her - A bit about yourself I'm brand new to DND but super stoked to be here - Fleshed out Character idea you think will be fun (Give a rundown of race, age, class, summary backstory, personality, etc.) Keothi my stone endurance Goliath Paladin that's 26 years old, he's a soldier, warrior, guard and protector. At 8ft tall and 300 lbs with grey skin and glacial blue eyes he is pure intimidating strength. He cares for those smaller than him which most days is everyone. His oath of devotion is to Helm. He wears his holy symbol on a hand crafted bead in his beard. He may be a bear of a man but he is soft. He dedicated himself to his squad as a soldier and when he got out he became a protector and guard for others. He carried a great axe in his massive hands and a great sword strapped to his back. - Time zone you live in, so I can reference to PST cst - What you like about DND(Combat, Roleplay, Exploration, etc.) DICE!!! Fizz gave himself the nickname "The Shadow" since it's his favorite place to hide and get away. Also he just thinks it sounds cool to say "The Shadow!" - Time zone you live in, so I can reference to PST My time zone is CST - What you like about DND(Combat, Roleplay, Exploration, etc.) I like everything there is when it comes to DND - And anything else you feel is fitting! About myself: I enjoy playing rpg, big Star Wars fan. I’m easy going and try to play D&D when I can find a group. Never played online though. Just looking for a fun game. Character idea: Goliath Swashbuckler named Loknar Wyld; first mate aboard the Wyld Karrde. He’s middle aged. Older brother to the Captain of the Wyld Karrde -Talon Wyld. His story: He’s the first mate and swordsman. As the sun went down and night fell, the sailors felt a chill in the air that they never felt before. The captain posted watches and order the men down below for the night. When Loknar awoke, he was in a life boat, blood on his clothes, a wound on his head, no memory of what transpired, and his brothers cutlass with note from him saying “find us.”

What I enjoy about D&D is how everyone reacts to the story and the hijinx that occurs naturally from trying to solve puzzles to trying to fight creatures that according to our character backgrounds shouldn’t be a problem, all because the dice says otherwise. Other things to note: discord name: Joval1
Name: Hekkema - Age 40 - Pronouns: He/Him - A bit about yourself: I have been playing DnD for off and on for the last 25 years. Just shy of 10 years ago, I was asked one of the greatest questions by my boys, "Dad, what's Dungeons and Dragons?" I light up like a New Year's fireworks display and I begin telling my kiddos all about the game and the possibilities within imagination. Since then, I have been the forever DM with my home game with my wife and two boys; and with our friend group games.
- Fleshed out Character idea you think will be fun (Give a rundown of race, age, class, summary backstory, personality, etc.):Hekkema was raised as your typical warrior and cleric. Military trained and disciplined, he keeps a quiet demeanor, but is prone to contradictory outbursts of strong emotion. During an inspection of long abandoned ruins, he had a chance encounter with a creature resembling a large crow. He found himself in a small building alone and unable to look away from the corvid. "Heed the call of crows and twilight, find the truth in the icy north. We will be there to help you." One confusing line, and the creature charges. Hekkema raises his shield and is met with a force that knocks him backwards and blacks out. Hekkema wakes up in the middle of a snowfield, far from the thick forest he calls home. Confused, and seemingly lost, he pulls himself up and looks around at the thick white in all directions. Lost in a flat, monotone landscape, Hekkema reaches to his amulet in quick prayer to his god; "Help me find myself from this landscape." His shield suddenly erupts into a dozen small motions as a murder of crows emerge from the metal surface. Voices assault him all at once telling him, "Follow! This way!" The crows flying away with a promised direction of salvation. Hekkema mutters to himself, "What madness have I found myself in? Crows..." His feet begin to move, instinctively following the trail of feather left behind. - Time zone you live in, so I can reference to PST: I am CST - What you like about DND(Combat, Roleplay, Exploration, etc.): I enjoy all pillars of DnD. Split it 30/30/30 and then add the 10 to whatever is active in the moment. Sometimes combat needs some theatrical roleplay, exploration can be an escape from combat scenarios, or roleplay can just be that much extra and enjoyable. Another side is that I have an addiction: Dice. I have graduated from dice goblin into a full blown Dice Dragon!
- And anything else you feel is fitting!: I am looking forward to the opportunity to find a group of people to tell a good story, tempered with the roll of dice; within a setting that I have personally never run nor played.
Name: Damian Age: 45 Pronouns/Gender/Sex: He/Him A bit about yourself: Playing D&D since 2nd edition; Engineer that plays around with fellow nerds at the Ren Faire and Cosplay Fleshed out Character idea you think will be fun (Give a rundown of race, age, class, summary backstory, personality, etc.): High Elf, Kaelion Vaelis, cleric/mage: I was born in Elarith; just outside of the capital region of the Aelthirion Conclave. We are known for remembering what others have chosen to forget. Father was an educator in the capital on the natural sciences and mother was a military strategist for the region. Our multigeneration family home builds around the Vaelthir, our family crypt and forest. The home is built out of the natural earth and woods of the land by singing our spells to mold the environment to our needs. Each forest member is the living memory of our past ancestors. We sing open the tree to walk down to each individual family member's crypt. We sing our magic to mold the environment to our needs, we give back to the environment, the trees, the animals, the water, the air, our life force in this process. Because we are literally infusing our own essences into the lands we inhabit, we are extremely protective of the natural balance of our lands. Reason for Travel: Study of our ancestral lineage and histories, I discovered entire volumes of texts missing about a specific time period of our founding family members. These discovered truths could have geopolitical implications for our current political strategies and our responsibilities to the world we pulled away from. We may have discovered the creation of vampirism due to researching the longevity of our race but its inability to reach immortality. “We sang to preserve what should have passed. And now the song will not end.”

Time Zone : cst
What you like about DND? : Everything, even the nat 1s. Wild take, I know. Im still learning the roleplay portion because I'm not quick with words all the time. I can form them intricately, just takes me a moment. So if say I'm about at 40 combat 40 explore and 20 roleplay, subject to change.
Random fun fact : I am currently attempting to build my own world for roleplay and dice work fun with my friends.

Fizz gave himself the nickname "The Shadow" since it's his favorite place to hide and get away. Also he just thinks it sounds cool to say "The Shadow!"

Timezone: CST
What I enjoy about D&D is how everyone reacts to the story and the hijinx that occurs naturally from trying to solve puzzles to trying to fight creatures that according to our character backgrounds shouldn’t be a problem, all because the dice says otherwise.

Name: Hekkema
- Age 40
- Pronouns: He/Him
- A bit about yourself: I have been playing DnD for off and on for the last 25 years.

- What you like about DND(Combat, Roleplay, Exploration, etc.): I enjoy all pillars of DnD.

Fleshed out Character idea you think will be fun (Give a rundown of race, age, class, summary backstory, personality, etc.): High Elf, Kaelion Vaelis, cleric/mage: I was born in Elarith; just outside of the capital region of the Aelthirion Conclave.
