I am running a game and looking for 2 serious players.
Sorry to new players, don't be discouraged. You'll find a group, but this game isn't for you. I have a tight group of friends that will be playing in this game. It's been hard to find the right person to add to the group. We are crude and joke around and rip on each other all the time, so if you're thin skinned this may not be the group for you. That being said, we take this game very seriously. As a DM I try to run a balanced game splitting between RP, combat, exploration and puzzles. However we take the RP very seriously. We are looking for someone who wants to participate in a serious way. That means stay in character, be constructive, jokes are fine but not joke characters. We don't like derailing and breaking the flow of the game. We have plenty of time during the week to talk about whatever we want so during the game isn't the time for stories or how this reminds you of that one time... Like I said we are looking for someone who takes the game seriously but at the end of the day we want to have fun.
That being said, if that type of game sounds right for you, I am running this game Sunday nights staring around 9pm eastern time. I will be using the rules from the Free League The Lord of The Rings RPG. The setting will be in Middle Earth. I am a huge Tolkien fan and will be using his world to tell my own story or my paint and his sketch. I use foundry as the vtt and the free league book uses 5e rules. I don't expect you to know foundry or the lotr rules but I do expect you to know the 5e basics and be familiar with using a vtt. I use a hardcore set of rules that will be explained after bringing you in. You should expect a game true to the Tolkien Legendarium, so dark themes with a gritty setting and deep characters.
I hope I'm being very clear about the type of game I am running and what we are looking for so we can save each other time. We are being very selective with the players we choose. This game will likely last a year or more, it's a big commitment and we don't want another game killed because of bad chemistry. I will be doing interviews on Discord and we will invite a couple players to play some one shots and if we all mesh we'll hop into this game. If you think you fit the profile of what we're looking for join this Discord and send me a private message to set up an interview.
