Here is a snippet of the world lore to get an idea of what you'd be getting into :
The Auboa ocean was the largest of the planet. The region was void of any islands and filled with spots where the currents and winds didn’t reach, dangerous creatures and unpredictable weather. It was considered an untouchable area of the world. One day, the earth shook. Everywhere all at once felt it. Waters rose worldwide, flooding and submerging cities along the coasts of other continents. Tremors left chasms and crevices, destroying infrastructure and killing thousands upon thousands and there, where an ocean once was, was an island, if it could be called that. This land mass rivalled that of nations. A mysterious continent emerging from the oceans and rattling the world.
Nations took action quickly, sending out expedition ships to investigate. Cautiously, they entered from different directions. Despite having emerged from the seas, strangely, the continent was rich in flora and fauna of the surface, as if the ecosystem had had centuries to develop above water despite its sudden emergence from the seas. However, a defining factor indicated this was not a mass hallucination. The continent was filled with ancient ruins of an underwater civilization. Entire cities were built of powerful stones to support the pressure of deep sea life and a thick layer of fossils that matched those of the surrounding seas embedded itself in the crest of the earth. Monuments laced the ground and temples were hidden everywhere. These structures were accompanied by strange and previously unseen fauna and flora, especially as one travelled below ground where tunnels stretched on for ages. Treasure hunters were quick to raid the continent upon hearing of the ruins. Anarchy was breaking loose.
A young apprentice to a discrete treasure hoarding conclave, Vihaan Booker, set out into this lawless nation without a clue what he was getting himself into. By sheer chance, he discovered a temple at the center of the continent. His journals state that he had been face to face with the Goddesses of Order and Chaos. They had told him to fix the imbalance and granted him an item of immeasurable power. With this, he took control of the continent and turned it into a nation overnight, naming it Ignota and becoming its sovereign. He divided the continent between his friends from the conclave, each of which became a regional sovereign.
Several centuries have passed since then. The nation has become well established in the world order. With the threat of the nation’s gift from the supreme goddesses and due to its size, other nations do not dare start wars with it, leading to an overarching peace. This, alongside the plethora of ecological diversity enabling the nation to sustain itself renders it a prosperous land. Ingota has a rich trading scene with other nations, thriving in the world market and acts as a popular tourist destination with its ruins of unexplainable origins. The nature of the continent’s emergence has mostly faded to time, yet even now, new relics and structures of the times before are still uncovered regularly and the tunnels that stretch out for who knows how far beneath the continent remain vastly unexplored.
