I have finally thrown my dice, my DM screen, and several emotionally charged rulebooks at my players and declared my escape from the arcane prison known as The Forever DM. After three straight years without parole, I require… a break.
Hello, dear reader. If you are seeing this, know that I desperately need to be a player again. I've been playing and DMing since 5e first emerged in 2014. In that time, I’ve survived multi-year campaigns, heroic TPKs, questionable rulings at 2 a.m., and “just one more session” lies that turned into six-month arcs. I’ve ran and playing in everything from long-form epics to chaotic one-shots where the notes died early and improv took over.At this point, I’m looking to join a homebrew game/ friendly group that’s open to bringing me on as a player assuming time, tone, and story align. I promise simply wish to roll dice from the other side of the screen for once Below, you’ll find all the relevant details about me. If you have questions, concerns, or a spare chair at the table please reach out. Sincerely, A very tired, very hopeful former god of the narrative

Greetings, issactnt11. I read your post about being a ForeverDM and were looking to be a player and perhaps I can help. I too am a ForeverDM and enjoy it more than being a player, but I miss playing sometimes.
I have a proposal. My goal is to gather a small group of ForeverDM's and take turns hosting One-Shots against each other. I think this will give everyone a chance to play some characters that they have been wanting to play for a while (and not had the chance).
Feel free to reply here or DM me back if you are interested in finding out more.
