Game: D&D 5e (2014) Group type: Online (Discord, mostly via Foundry VTT and occasionally R20) Experience: A few years Location/Timezone:EST/GMT-5
Schedule: Thursdays, 7PM-10PM(ish, willing to make some adjustments as needed for the homies.) Roles sought: Player, but mega happy bonus points if you have some experience DMing and are willing to rotate in on occasion so the forever DM can tag out and play the other side once in a while. Game style: Casual, pretty good amount of roleplay, but with balanced gamestyles and flexible games.
18+ only Por Flavor.
No preference on experience whatsoever. When this group started, most were new to the game and learned alongside the more experienced veteran(s). We run a good story heavy game with a fair bit of character focus, so as long as you make a character you like and want to see succeed, we're all happy to make everyone succeed. (We also give each other the smoke and shitpost around a fair bit, so please be down with a little bit of banter and memes.)
Game is purely online. Community gathers and organizes in a Discord server that is semi-public (but with the D&D channels gated, and the per-table channels are whitelist/user specific.) We use a remote hosted Foundry VTT instance. No downloads required, works straight out of your browser, assuming you have something vaguely GPU Shaped inside your machine. We play primarily (near exclusively) 5e, though the group has tossed around ideas for WoD, and CP2020, amongst others.
I’ve been poking around here a fair bit to see what sorts of groups are out there. Relatively new to the online ttrpg space, to be honest, but decently experienced with D&D and running games in person.
I’ve DM’d more than I’ve played so I’m ok with doing both since you mentioning giving your dm a break from time to time. I’m on central time but the time frame you listed should work just fine for me. Let me know if a spot is still available.
If there is still a spot open, I am looking for a group. I have mostly DM'd in a completely homebrew campaign for most of my DND experience, but don't often get a chance to play. Your group sounds more my speed than most I see online.
