We’re currently looking to invite 1–2 new players into our ongoing D&D campaign. We’re about 14 sessions (14 weeks) in, and unfortunately one of our players recently got a new job and can no longer make the weekly sessions. We started as a group of five (four players + DM) and are now down to three players. We still played this week (with me NPC’ing the cleric), and it went well — but we’d really love to bring the table back up to 4–5 players.
Current party makeup: Divine Soul Sorcerer / Warlock, Lore Bard, and a Paladin. We did lose a cleric, but the party has plenty of healing already, so you’re absolutely free to play any class you’re excited about.
When We Play: Thursdays, weekly, 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM (PST) Campaign Rules: 2024 ruleset with some homebrew; XP-based leveling Campaign Theme: This is a maritime/nautical campaign. The party just completed the Trial of Tides and won their own ship, and they’re currently sailing the seas while pursuing a bounty. Along the way, they’ve been pulled into a growing conflict between a highly religious faction known as the Dawntide and their current prey...we will absolutely get into the details if you join — there’s a lot of context there 😄 What We Use: D&D Beyond for character sheets (happy to help with character creation if you need it); Roll20 for the VTT Who We Are: We’re all adults who enjoy D&D, show up consistently, and like playing with people who are excited to be there. DM & Player Styles: Fun, social, and engaging; RP-driven and backstory-driven; PCs have real personalities, goals, and motivations; we also enjoy combat — it’s meaningful and rewarding w/ XP bonuses and benefits for clever play and creature salvage What We're Looking For: Players who don’t already have a rigid PC concept, or who are willing to tweak one so it fits naturally into the world. People who enjoy both RP and combat, without being spotlight hogs or power gamers. Most importantly: players who want to build a story together, not just play alongside one. Last, but most certainly not least, people who are good/kind people that don't promote hate.
If this sounds like your kind of table, we’d love to chat and see if it’s a good fit on both sides. Please feel free to send a message here. Thanks!
EDIT
As some of the details within it were asked about in a comment, I just want to share the document I made for character creation. It details what your creation settings should be, what classes, subclasses, species, etc. are all allowed, what method is used for ability scores, and goes over some of the 2024 changes to a degree since most of the players were new to 2024 rules.

Please give it a look and if it aligns with your interests let me know, and we can go from there.
