I'm currently looking for some semi-experienced players to join a weekly campaign I hope to start soon. It will be played over Discord and Roll20, with custom maps and specially prepared music. We will be using Avrae for dice rolls in our server. I have a few players already, but I'm always looking for more. Idealli I would love someone willing to be a Bard or a Barbarian. There will be lots of grimdark fantasy/adult themes present so I'm only seeking players aged 18+. We are LGBT friendly, obviously. We usually play around 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM US Central Standard Time, every Thursday. The day of the week in which we play is set in stone unfortunately, and must remain on Thursdays. The game will have a focus on traditional Japanese folklore and history, as well as a few horror-elements. I've made some setting-appropriate homebrew subclasses that I'm quite eager to try out with you, and I'm open to any ideas you might bring to the campaign! I love incorporating character backstories. I promise its a very easy-going table. We don't bite, promise!

You'll be playing in my own homebrew campaign setting, heavily and blatantly inspired by medieval Japan. Lots of yokai and samurai. You will be starting at level 3.

I would absolutely like to join a japanase themed campaign. I was hooked as soon as I heard you say that you were looking for an experienced player willing to play a Bard as the next character I wanted to play was a bard/rogue multiclass (Though a monk for thematic purposes would be fun too). I have been playing D&D for 24 years and have been a DM for 22 years, looking to be a player for a change. Would need to know a bit more info about initial character creation, whether you use encumbrance and coin weight, etc., and more info about the world to flesh out by backstory.

I’m 19 and I’ve been playing tabletop RPGs for about five years, mostly DnD 5e, and most of that time has been spent as a DM.

I would love to play a Bard. My concept is a human bard who is the overconfident son of a wealthy merchant who secretly engineered his entire reputation. His victories were staged, his professors paid off, and his fame manufactured, but he genuinely believes he earned it.

 Dropping him into a grimdark setting with real stakes would force him to confront actual adversity for the first time.
