Starting at Level 2 you and your group of fellow adventurers are picked to traverse the Obsidian Tower to end a millennia long curse upon the material plane keeping what remains of civilization secluded to a small island aloft within a pitch-black sky full of ever watching eyes. With the gods themselves trapped within the same unfortunate fate. Adventurers are forced every 50 years to send a group within to attempt the challenges within and reach the 50th floor. Within this game of endurance very few have made it down to even the 10th floor and given the differing accounts the only thing known about the interior is that it changes with the generations that pass and that those who make it past the 10th floor are allowed a brief reprieve before they must forge on.
This will be widely an exploration and combat focused campaign with bits of NPC interaction, though it is encouraged that the players grow as a team and work with me to incorporate backstories to enhance the experience.
