So, we were minding our own business, running an awesome game, where wouldn't you know it? Life got in the way. Now, we find ourselves with the three of us. I decided to open up the campaign bible and let the guys play through some of the history behind how things got this bad.
And they are enjoying it, but we need you help!
You knew that I was going to say something like that, didn't you?
So, in two weeks we are starting Origins, Part Two - the next insightful pre-campaign mini campaign. And we'd like to invite you for the ride. Set in the Forgotten Realms, but separate from the canon timelines, we have an epic fight with an ancient Illithid in the midst of a cosmic grudge match.
I plan on doing a Part Three to the Origins Series (I mean, it's a series, right?) and maybe two more. Between the different series, players can come and go. I mean, not all campaigns are meant for all players, right? But afterwards, we have a full length campaign to get back to. The group is at Level 12, and they are pretty powerful even for that level. So the idea is that the people who want to join the Mavens of Mystery campaign can make characters for the main story, or bring along a character from the Origins series - player's choice.
But here's the thing: the characters are pre-made for the Origins Events - this is because they need to fit certain story-specific niches to be effective.
If you are interested, let me know please. But right now I have to rush off to run the game. That's right! It is time for the details:
Fridays, at 0800 EST, bright and early on the east coast of the USA. This is a great time for our friends across the pond to jump in and play with us - truly, the other players are both true scholars and gentlemen! We are certainly not limiting this game to overseas players; if you feel frisky in the mornings, let your dice fly and try to stop the illithids from taking over the whole of Faerun!
Greetings and salutations!
