Game System: Dungeons & Dragons 2014 & 2024 (Flexible)
Players Needed:1-2 (must be dependable) (NOW FULL)
Streamed? No. But we do record and upload to YouTube (message me directly for link). It is strictly for record keeping and review.
Game Style: Roleplay. Combat. Horror. Challenging. Storytelling. Puzzles. Mystery.
DM Style: I am a very easy going DM and I try to make things fun. This is a unique homebrewed campaign with some special rules, but most benefit the players. If you are inexperienced, I will teach you as we play. My games do not allow swearing or sexual content. Also, I am a published author, so expect story structure and foreshadowing.
Equipment & Software Needed: Good microphone, Earbuds or headphones. Strong Internet connection. We use Zoom and a Virtual Tabletop (free accounts for both)
Pyres of Nocturnus is a horror campaign that takes place on the homebrewed world of Aquaria. The planet was once mostly water (hence the name) but suffer a catastrophic magics even thousands of years ago. The event caused the planet to become tidal-locked with its sun: one side always faces the sun, the other is always dark. The result? Temperatures plummeted on the dark side (Nocturnus) and drastically increased on the bright side (Aurora). Between the two in an area stuck in perpetual twilight.
The campaign takes place on the dark side, a frozen wasteland filled with undead and monsters of the night.
THE TWIST: The player characters began in our real world, in Sidney Australia, and their flight encountered a magical storm which forced them through a portal, where the crashed in Nocturnus (the dark side). Think 'Alive' blended with 'LOST' in a dark world of magic.
The Story Thus Far: The plane has crashed. The character and some passengers survived. They salvaged everything the could from the remains of the plane, the set out to find their way to civilization. They have thus far been attacked by zombies (including zombie versions of the characters from the 1980s D&D cartoon), and a polar bear. They were caught in and avalanche, which killed several NPC Passengers the group gets a reward for any NPC Passengers still alive when the reach civilization).
Most recently, they discovered their first Pyre of Nocturnus, a protective magical circle with an everburning fire at its center. Within the circle of glowing stones, they are mostly safe. But Nocturnus is a haunted dangerous place. Death walks outside the circle.
This campaign is in progress but only five sessions in.
