Hey there,
I'm Sandy from germany and I love H.P.Lovecraft. I've been haunted by this idea to turn one of the characters of his famous book "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward" into a DnD character. I know, I know, there are plenty of Lovecraft-related Pen and Paper games. But I would really like to transfer him into this dnd setting. So... let me introduce you to Eleazar Smith.
He is currently a lvl 1 Warlock (supposed to claim the Great Old One Patreon) Human with the Pact of the Tome. The Book he creates at the end of a Rest shall be the Necronomicon which he took from Curwen after bringing him to "rest". I gave him the Haunted One Background and though of the following to be his legacy:
"After Eleazar Smith and Ezra Weeden informed the high society of Providence about the evil deeds of Joseph Curwen they decided to take action. They raided his farm and in a series of inexplicable events Joseph Curwen was defeated. But at what cost? Most of the men returned to their homes traumatized and with unbearable scars upon their souls. Eleazars life changed forever this night. His eyes took on a faint, glowing blue hue and he is plagued by a constant, bone-chilling cold. Regardless the temperature surrounding him, his breath is constantly visible with misty wisps. After the events Eleazar became mostly silent. He tries to keep a low profile as he knows that Joseph Curwen will return one day. Therefore he is waiting and observing, searching for clues to find the reincarnation of the necromancer so he can send him back to hell."
So if you are interested to see Eleazar in action I'm looking foreward to join your party. You might notice, that his background story is heavily based on the book, so I'd prefere you to know the storyline of Charles Dexter Ward. I'm sure it can be fun.
I would prefer to join online and time and date of the session is very variable. So just text me and we can figure sth. out.
