City of Gold: Fantasy / Political Intrigue Homebrew Campaign [DnD 5.5e] [Sundays @ 7:30pm EST] [Beginner Friendly]

Lore Synapsis:
A city atop a city atop a city. Indath, the city of gold. Indath, the city of opportunity. Indath, the city of the future. Indath is a city that has built exponentially upwards, and wealth always rises to the top. Indath rose from the plateaus of vast emptiness and abandoned townships. The town is surrounded by a arcane barrier known as the HALO initiative.  Beneath the gilded halls of the state house, and air of innovation, is an open secret of crime and signets. While there is opportunity abound in Indath, it is plagued by the 5 clans, which may not be the legal leaders, but they pull the strings all the same. "Everything is corrupt, and everybody a criminal. The good guys are just the nicest bad guys. The bad guys are just the good guys with their hand revealed."

I want to emphasize that I am not the DM! I’m one of the players looking to help fill out the party after someone dropped out. So far, we have a divination wizard, valor bard, homebrew DPS warlock, and a paladin. We mostly need a wis and/or martial character. Session 0 will be next week, so you haven’t missed anything yet.
