Looking for new players for Tuesday night gaming

We’re looking to add one player to our D&D group! We’re a tight-knit group with a crude, sarcastic sense of humor—we joke about everything (including each other), but when it comes to the game, we lean heavily into serious, character-driven roleplay. We currently have two DMs running separate campaigns: a long-term main campaign and a shorter Humblewood campaign. New players will start in Humblewood as a sort of trial run to see how they fit with the group dynamic before joining the main story. We’re looking for someone who enjoys heavy RP, can handle a joking atmosphere without taking things personally, and values honesty and trust at the table.  Hello my name is Joe. 

I been playing for 6 years and been DMing for the last 2 years. I love the rp aspect of campaign and like to joke around with my players and party members. My idea for characters is:

Half Elf Ranger Drakewarden named Eridan. 

High in the mountains is where Zane Roleth lived with his nomadic family. His father Thenn, his mother Vesper, and twin brother Jonas all were part of the Dragon Chosen which is a cult that worships powerful fey dragons. This is why they had a nomadic life going from place to place searching for any powerful dragons that would fulfill the promise of power that the leaders of the cult preach. Zane, unlike his family, never bought fully into the ideology of the Dragon Chosen and spent much of his time running in the woods learning how to truly be nomadic. One day while the tribe was high in the mountains chasing rumors of dragons, Zane came upon an abandoned dragon egg that was ready to hatch. And after the small creature emerged from his shell some sort of connection was formed and the dragon was forever connected to Zane. Naming him Valerys after a legend of a powerful dragon the two spent a long time together and both grew in power and knowledge as they both taught each other new things. But this did not last long as Zane’s family and the cult found out about his new foundling and wanted to use the small creature in a ritual that would lead to Valerys death. Not wanting to lose his soul connection he fled with Valerys and made sure that they would never be separated by any power

Wizards and artificers need entertainment. Zane makes a living performing for large crowds and private shows for elites. One thing that none of his fans know is that he is actually a Changeling. A Fey creature on the wrong side of the world, Zane makes sure that no one sees his true form. Life was good, money flowed like wine and his fandom grew. Until one day his secret was exposed and after a show a sect of arcanists kidnapped him to use his fey magic to reverse engineer his changeling powers to be used to change humanity . But during one of these experiments something went wrong and Zane escaped but forever changed. Now having the ability to control necromantic power and control the shadows near him. He weaves the gray boundaries between light and dark and is more of a loner. No longer having a home as the search for him has increased he now travels around the Dominion performing at low end venues and never staying there long. And never sharing his fey secret with anyone.

Hello! I'm intereted in learning more about your campagin! Humblewood interest me and a longer term campaign sounds like a great goal! I'm very flexible with my characters, as I have many concepts brewing depending on the system (assuming 5e, but of course have different characters in the pot for 2014 and 2024 respectively). I tend to try to "fill" in a sense and build a character that will mesh well with the group. I'd love to get involved, and learn more! I'm really into the roleplay aspect of DND and have done combinations of voice and text RP for games I've been in! Looking forward to hearing back!

Hi! Was interest about this campaign and just had to comment,

I've been playing DND for roughly 6 years now, mainly as a player. I enjoy (and love) heavy roleplay-based DND campaigns, especially because I just think developing characters relations and them as a whole is very intriguing and generally interesting. 

I like to think I'm a bit witty (intentional or not) , and appreciate environments where it's banter between friends. 

I'd like to understand the campaign more before committing to a character at least in this thread. I'm very flexible with what characters to play (was a huge theatre kid), so if there's a needed role/preferred class or archetype I'm always down to fill for that. It won't take long for me to develop one so I'm very excited to see where this goes! 

Was wondering if this is Online and Unpaid, and if so; is it just voice used for it? Text, and voice seem lovely to me (I may be interrupted by background stimuli whether by person or animal but typically it's. like 5 minutes where, i don't really mind if I'm AFKED in for the meantime by all means go crazy . LOL)  but I am a bit camera shy (Ironic i know) . BUT!!! I am very promising. I will warn you right now I. may  have. interesting rolls so It's definitely worth the show.
