Greetings, adventurers! My name is Gary and I would love to be your Dungeon Master!
Game: D&D 5e 2014
Group type: Online, discord video calls w/ a campaign on dndbeyond and potential use of D&D maps (not every session though) Experience: 3+ years of experience as a player, one and a half as a DM, been roleplaying in different capacities since 2011. I am looking for players of all any and all experiences and will gladly help whoever is new to the hobby! Location/Timezone: GMT +3 / +2 , there will be choices of weekly or bi-weekly sessions depending on group preference. Schedule: There will be flexibility and an attempt to cater to the groups desire Roles sought: Players. A lot. This will be a shared world campaign where we will be divided in two groups of four players each at least (with potential for more). The groups won't intersect in game as they will have vastly different purposes and roles, but the choices made by one group could define what the other will potentially go through. Additionally, there is a chance characters would be able to message one another even if they're from different groups at some points in the campaign just for the added feel of the scale of this project. Game style: This will be varying for some groups. I am all for there to be a group of "divers" who only do combat or prefer to engage in more of a westmarch style thing. I will likewise also be there for those who prefer roleplay. It is up to you to decide based on what you see below. I will say here though this is a long-term campaign that will hopefully span for at least a few years.
Price: Session 0 is free, but all the sessions that follow will cost 20$ per player unless said players choose to pay more before Session 1. What does that mean? Good question! Starting with 40$ there will be free sessions added for each 20$ you choose to pay, meaning for just 40$ you get one free session in that campaign on top of the two you already paid for. Meaning for 100$ you'd have 9 sessions total (5 paid, 4 free). After the free sessions expire, pricing goes back to $20/session, as these bundles are only for those who want to commit early. I've unfortunately experienced a problem before where players told me they would pay, but because I was lenient and allowed them to keep playing they kept dropping out of the campaign, recognizing they'd have to pay eventually. Which wasn't the case with all players luckily, but it still became detrimental enough to ruin said campaign at one point. So this is why I chose to do a paid campaign hoping to find long-term players.
Campaign Description: The Jewel of Prydwen is a campaign that spans across levels 3-20+, its main premise (besides exploration of player characters) is the exploration of unknown worlds. We start in a steampunkish city of Glann, where in the name of the late Edmund Prydwen, a renowned businessman who always wished to become an aventurer, a large airship-spelljammer city is constructed. This spelljammer city in particular needs folks of all walks of life to function - for maintenance, security and retrieval of power crystals, a special resource that is used to power this particular airship. Power crystals are a bit of an anomaly it seems, and it is a mystery as to how they manifested (perhaps a mystery to solve, one of many aboard this aircraft).
Players can choose from existing D&D deities (whether of the forgotten realms setting or not) or create their own unique ones, they can be from Glann or an entirely different city, perhaps an entirely different world altogether. The only thing that is certain and one I encourage you to explore your reasons for is how your characters ended up seeking to board Prydwen (legally or not).
If you are considering joining, please feel free to write your level of experience and whether you prefer combat, exploration, roleplay, puzzles or the mix of any of those.
Thank you for your time!
