NEWER DM LOOKING FOR PLAYERS TO JOIN MY STRIXHAVEN CAMPAIGN

I’m a newer Dungeon Master looking for players aged 18–25 (you can be a bit older) to join a long-term D&D 5e StrixHaven campaign, running from levels 1–10 (def higher than 10 with all the homebrew that will be in it). The game will be played on DND Beyond with Discord voice, and both new and experienced players are welcome. This is a very story/rp-driven campaign set in Strixhaven, focusing on attending a spectacular and amazing magic school that you will be attending as a student! You will learn magic, take exams, participate in campus jobs and extracurriculars, meet new students that can be your friends, beloved, or even your enemies!  You do not need any prior knowledge of the setting—I will help guide everyone through the world and character creation. As a newer DM, I’m putting a lot of care into preparation, roleplay, and helping players build characters that feel meaningful and connected to the story. I’m looking for respectful, reliable players who enjoy roleplay, exploration, and character growth alongside combat, and who are patient and collaborative at the table. We’ll hold a Session 0 to go over expectations, character creation, and safety tools, as the campaign includes darker themes and emotional storytelling. I also allow players to make their characters with whatever edition rules they want because I know some editions have better rules than others in certain categories.  The best part of all this you may ask? Attendance each week is MANDATORY, you get 1 freebie to miss, after that the only valid excuses to miss another session is emergency related (ex: family issues, hospitalization/very sick, etc) I have had to cancel a campaign several months in that I spent so much time and effort in that had to cancel due to poor attendance that I will not allow to happen again.

Hey! How are you doing? I´d like to join your campaign, especially since it´s Strixhaven. I´ve been dying to finally be able to play it again (never finished it or even left 1st year lol).

What do you love about D&D, or how did you come to know the game: It started during high school as a simple game between friends once in a while, but now became a more full time hobby. I love how we need to use our imagination for both visualization and problem solving, and how we can escape real life for a few hours.

Do you prefer combat or roleplaying? Both, both are good

Tell us about yourself a bit: I´m a chill guy, don´t usually talk much outside of session, but i do enjoy a bit of chaos and cracking some jokes.

D&D Experience (If any): Besides things like Baldurs gate 3 and live play shows like critical role and dimension 20, I've had very short experiences trying to play in a campaign that sadly only went 1 session before it was put on indefinite hold, scheduling issues

What do you love about D&D, or how did you come to know the game: A lot of consuming dnd related media, i'm a big fan of the creativity with stories and worlds and characters and problem solving that comes with it!! and the social aspect too that comes along with playing together in a group

Do you prefer combat or roleplaying? I like a bit of a mix of both, Im still a bit nervous on big roleplay but im happy and willing to give it a try!

Tell us about yourself a bit: Not too much to say about me, Im not the best at talking outside of sessions still but id love to meet new people in the space and have something fun ive been wanting to do for a while now to my weeks!

What kind of experiences would you like to have during this adventure? Share only what you feel comfortable. I'd be really just happy to push myself out of my comfort zone and it'd probably help my social skills a bit, collaborative storytelling with the party and the dm would be very fun! And Ill try to help out in whatever way I can

Any uncomfortable remarks, homophobia and bigotry in general, as well I would really like to avoid things like people using AI for art, characters, planning etc

My timezone is in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) which is also UTC+10:00 so If that makes scheduling too difficult I completely understand
