Hey! We’re currently looking for 1 player to join an ongoing long-term campaign that’s been running for around 10 months (roughly 25–30 sessions). The party is currently level 7.
Schedule
Friday
4:00 PM - 7:00 PM CST
Bi-weekly
Sessions are consistent and scheduling is strict. We’ve all known each other and played together for years, so reliability is important.
Campaign Overview
This campaign is heavily inspired by Honkai: Star Rail and shares much of its cosmology, factions, Aeons, and overarching themes, while also heavily expanding and diverging into its own story and setting.
You do NOT need to know HSR lore to join, but it definitely helps. Currently:
2 of the 4 players and the DM actively play HSR
the campaign assumes a generally serious investment in story/lore
there is a lot of worldbuilding already established
The game leans heavily into:
cosmic sci-fantasy
faction politics
existential/cosmic horror
exploration
long-term character arcs
large-scale narrative reveals
The current arc revolves around a newly discovered planet called Frontier, a world containing an impossible material known as Axionite, ancient megastructures, Fragmentum incursions, and growing involvement from major interstellar factions.
Tone & Playstyle
This is a very story-heavy campaign.
There are:
recurring factions
layered mysteries
long-running NPCs
established party relationships
ongoing lore threads
The world is extremely detailed, and realistically:
I cannot explain everything all at once.
A new player will probably feel somewhat overwhelmed at first, and that’s okay. Questions are encouraged, and we’re happy to help someone settle into the setting over time.
That said, this is probably NOT the campaign for someone looking for:
casual drop-in play
low-commitment attendance
murderhobo gameplay
purely combat-focused sessions
Roleplay matters a lot here.
Important Note About Joining Late
Because the group has been together for years, the biggest hurdle honestly won’t be mechanics or lore:
it’ll be finding your place socially and narratively.
We want someone willing to integrate gradually into the group and campaign rather than trying to immediately dominate scenes or force themselves into the center of the story.
The current party already has a lot of history together.
Campaign Style
Expect:
difficult combats
cinematic encounters
tons of homebrew mechanics
custom factions and enemies
layered lore reveals
large-scale consequences
emotionally heavy moments
Examples of campaign elements include:
living manifestations of memory
interstellar megacorporations
reality fractures
cosmic entities called Aeons
corrupted dimensions known as the Fragmentum
faction warfare over newly discovered worlds
Requirements
Looking for someone who:
can consistently make the schedule
enjoys lore-heavy games
likes collaborative storytelling
is okay joining an already established group
enjoys serious investment in their character
communicates well with others
Experience with D&D 5e is preferred.
Knowledge of HSR is a bonus, not a requirement.
Platforms
We play on Roll20 and Discord
If interested, send to cletusw on Discord:
age
timezone
TTRPG experience
familiarity with HSR (if any)
preferred character types/themes
what you enjoy most in campaigns
And honestly:
tell me what kind of stories you like being part of.
That’ll probably tell me more than anything else.
Slot still open. I'll edit this once the spot is taken.
