Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online. We play using DNDBeyond and Discord Experience: Any experience level welcomed. Friendly table that loves helping. Location/Timezone: CST Schedule: Two groups (one at 1:00 pm the other at 7:00) both play bi-weekly on Mondays. Roles sought: Each table has one seat. (If interested, though don't feel confined by this: Each table recently lost a melee figure. Though there are members of each group that also fill that role) Game style: Both tables love RP, but never shy away from combat if it makes sense. I tend to let player decisions lead the way and some good insight and persuasion has been the answer to possibly conflict more times than I can count. We try to hit all the pillars, though as a politically (warfare by another name) driven campaign, factions, espionage, RP, and intrigue will drive the car.
2014 with some house rules (2024 healing, Perkins crits, more information if interested). There are two homebrew, table-specific dunamancy related subclasses: Temporal Sorcerer and College of Fatesinger Bard.
A bone-deep chill runs through you, rippling across the skin and settling in your bones. No breeze stirs. No winds whip. It should be comfortable: The calm, soft, silvery and purple light of Rosohna - the City of Rebirth - washes over you, bathing everything in a peaceful glow. Yet, you shiver. Something is amiss. You pull your cloak tightly around yourself and brace for...something. Something feels off. The War of Ash and Light has not only left scars across the physical terrain and bodies of soldiers. The fabric of the peaceful city seems to be stretching to near breaking, as unseen hands have taken hold of the fabric of Rosohna.
This campaign begins under the same soft glowing lights of the Kryn capital city, in the world of Exandria (the main setting of "Critical Role"). We will begin in Rosohna itself in the wake of the Dynasty's external focus on the War of Light and Ash. Set immediately before final negotiations for the accords between the Kryn Dynasty and the Dwendalian Empire, the characters will be swept up into the intrigue that simmers just below the smooth surface.
For whatever reason, your character has been pulled into an invisible web that wraps more tightly across the city with each passing day. Will you be a force of peace? Will you find your place in the society of the Luxon? Or, will you be a force of chaos - the chill that runs across the city like a freezing wind? Will outside forces cause the cauldron to boil over or will the Dynasty emerge - once again - reborn.
