The people of Perrin have been plagued by strange occurrences for years: attacks by extra planar creatures, strange magical affects, the dead rising from their graves, etc. Coincidentally, the malign wizard Delfino moved to town a few short weeks before this all began, but no one has ever been able to prove that he is the source of their trouble. However, yesterday, Delfino left overland on a trip and isn't expected back for days. The town council has hired your group of do-gooders to enter Delfino's mansion and find evidence of his guilt; guilt they can use as justification to hire more experienced heroes to end his reign of terror.
The game is first person role playing, good aligned heroes, with limited/no out of character, and is a touch on the grittier side. I have 40+ years of xp as a GM but this would be a great game for beginners. This is a one shot set in the same world as my twice monthly Friday evening game. I'm using this one shot as an opportunity for you to try out my GMing style before committing to a longer game.
Game will be 5e and not using most 2024 rules as of yet. All previously published official WotC classes are available but the game only has the SRD loaded (so anything you don't have access to will need to be programmed into Roll20 before the start of the game). We are starting at level 1 using standard array (15,14,13,12,10,8; +2/+1 decoupled as per Tasha's).
We will be using video as it greatly enhances the roleplay.
