For centuries, the ancient monastery of St. Cuthbert’s Rest quietly watched over the border town of Oakhaven on the shores of the Nyr Dyv. But beneath its bedrock lay a terrible secret: an ancient, defeated evil entombed and sealed away by four guardians wielding powerful arcane magic.
Decades passed, and the seals began to fail. Awaking from her slumber, the fiendish General Celine called to her daughters and began a systematic corruption of the holy ground. One by one, the guardians were hunted down, their arcane seals ripped away, and the wards shattered.
In a desperate bid to stop the dark vanguard of Iuz, a party of adventurers joined forces with the Daughters of the Iron Star—an unyielding sisterhood of broken but devout warriors, forged from trauma and devotion. Together they formed a warhost to reclaim the monastery. Though they achieved a bitter victory by shattering the fiendish army and purging the shadow dragon Umbraxus from the deep, the ultimate threat remains. Celine and her daughters have escaped with the ancient Shard of Blight in hand, leaving behind a town and a monastery scarred by trauma and a war that has only just begun.
The warhost needs reinforcements. Will you step into the light, or let the realm consume itself?

About me: I’ve been a Game Master and a player of RPGs since my teens in the 80’s. I’ve spent years running and playing and have a love for all things Sci-fi, fantasy etc. 20ish years ago when my wife and I had children, we moved away from our gaming group and roleplaying games, running and playing were no longer a priority. A couple of years ago my best friend invited me to an online group to play D&D and I got hooked back into it. I am a story and character first GM.
Our current campaign has just wrapped up a significant chapter and we have a couple of players that have stepped away and one player that will be part time. I’m currently looking for 1-2 more reliable players that can commit to a regular weekly campaign. I am based in Arizona, two players in California and one in Oregan. We meet on Fridays between 6:30 to 7:00pm MST and typically don’t have a set end time, though usually between 10:00 or 11:00 but we are all flexible if the story is flowing.
Our next session will hopefully be June 26th and will be a recap session from the last game and almost a type of session 0 for the next chapter to start. After that there will be a couple of week break and plan on getting back to it on July 17th.(subject to change with summer, vacations and the like).
We are looking for mature players we are all in our 50’s.
Our play styles and sessions vary. We’ve had multiple sessions that were just roleplay and no combat at all and other sessions with a mix of both roleplay and combat.
We all have fun at the virtual table and looking for new friends to join us on our journey, whether you’re a veteran player or fairly new to D&D, just be a team player and have fun.
We use Roll20 for virtual maps, D&D Beyond for characters, Discord for voice and video. Video is required as I believe it adds to the interaction. I do not record sessions but am looking into programs to record voice for note refence, something like GM Assistant, etc. No video recording.
As for character ideas and species. I would prefer to keep it to the main player handbook species/races but will entertain slight deviations.
As for character classes, we currently have a Human Fighter/Paladin, a Shadar-Kai Ranger, a Herengon Samurai(part time player). I am open to most any classes and we can have fun together developing a rich backstory that will tie you in to the current state of affairs.
This is a free game.
Please feel free to respond or DM. Let me know something about yourself. How long have you been playing? What kind of character/class do you like to run?
Hi there, I am interested in joining. I would love to make a character called by a higher power to undo the blight soon to be spread from the monastary.
I have played dnd for a little over two years now. I started as a dungeon master myself before being a player (Backwards, I know). I am a 27 year old man and am currently playing in a CAIN and a Curse of Strahd campaign, and I am about to start running a LANCER campaign soon, but my Fridays are open, so I'd like to fill that time with more dnd. I just finished running a homebrew campaign that was very roleplay heavy about a circus train called the Runaway Spectacle, so I am happy either way if the sessions tend to lean toward role play or combat.
I tend to fill whatever role is needed in any set group, and this group could probably use some sort of support. I have played a cleric recently, so I want to branch out and do either a Celestial patron warlock, or a divine soul sorcerer, but I'm leaning toward the warlock more. I want to play an Aasimar if allowed, or an orc.
Lmk if you need any more info on me, but otherwise, I hope I make the cut.
