"Stormwreck Isle, a small island in the Sword Coast region. Legends say the captive rage of the red dragon Sharruth formed Stormwreck Isle. If the tales speak true, her fires caused the land to spring forth from volcanos under the sea where her enemies had imprisoned her. Whether or not this is true, the land is scarred from ages of battles between the chromatic and metallic dragons. These days, the cloister of Dragon's Rest has tried to put aside the days of conflict and serve as a refuge from violence, making it a perfect spot for those looking for such serenity." ------ Hello friends!
I'm Marvelite, I've been playing D&D passionately and religiously over the last 2 years as both player and GM. After being introduced to this drug by Critical Role, I've built a love for storytelling and roleplay! I'm very excited to finally run an official Forgotten Realms module!
I'll be incorporating your backstories to the game as much as I can, however it IS a very short module so it might not be all of it depending on how far we get. My play style is very much focused on dramatic storytelling. I'm not the most experienced GM but I try my best!
Some clarifications: This module is from the 2014 D&D Starter Set which makes it a little outdated, but I've since updated it to 2024 and made it hip with the kids! This is usually a Level 1-3 adventure, for us it'll be a Level 3-6! Yeah you'll get those extra attacks and more!
What I'm looking for:
3-5 Passionate role-players whom are willing to embody their characters as much as they can.
Honest players whom are willing to communicate with me if there were any issues or concerns, in regards of unexpected scheduling troubles or in-game narrative problems.
Punctual players who can devote these few hours for the game on a weekly basis for a few months!
Collaborative storytellers who are willing to share the spotlight with their fellow players!
There is no tolerance for AI in this game. Real artists are the foundation of D&D and we respect them in this household. You can use any kind of art for your character, I'll be pulling either from the module or from open-source places.
How players will be chosen:
After you've done the form, I'll be reaching out to you for a vc interview. Once I've selected all of my players, we will be doing an introductory one-shot! This will be a chance for you guys to gauge if my GM-style is fun for you and for us to get a feel of the table. If the vibes are great, we can proceed with the Dragons Of The Stormwreck Isle module. If not, hey we had a fun night!
For this one-shot, you're allowed to play a completely separate character from the campaign or the same one. It's entirely up to you how you will want to approach that since the one-shot IS NOT RELATED to the module! We can work on it together to best suit your interests!
In full transparency: I heavily value every seat at the table, and I will make sure that everyone fits well. If I find that your play-style did not match the vibe well, I'll have to let you know that we've moved on. As sucky as this may be, this is to make sure that everyone is properly communicated with and no one is left in the dust wondering what happened. I will not ghost any of you and I can only hope you do the same!
The deets:
- Timing: Saturdays or Mondays 10pm - 2am GMT+3 with a little wiggle room!
- We will be using a Discord for VC.
- We will be using Roll20 as our VTT.
- You are allowed to make your sheet on D&DBeyond OR Roll20!
- Please have a clean, functional microphone as this is a RP-heavy table. We want to hear you breaking down in full 4K quality!
The module will be a Level 3-6 short campaign that'll last maybe a month or two. If things go really smoothly, I might be willing to continue forwards into other modules leading up to Level 20!
Thank you for taking the time to read this! I can't wait to hopefully roll some dice with you guys!
