Kobolds! Wererats! Gnomes! Oh my! ----------------------------------------- Hello thrill-seeking adventurers! Before you I offer a story of hidden danger, newfound heroism, and the age-old tale of victory and sacrifice. Rumors stir up and down the Sword Coast that something dangerous has made hearth and home within the snow-capped range of the Sword Mountains. Within the skies of Icespire Peak, that large something stirs restlessly. Scouts report signs that local orc tribes have hurriedly evacuated the Neverwinter Wood, and even the outskirts of the frontier town of Phandalin are becoming nesting ground for manticore. Built on the ruins of a dream once failed to bear fruit, Phandalin has nonetheless become home to farmers, woodcutters, fur traders, and prospectors all drawn by stories of gold and platinum in the foothills of the Sword Mountain within recent years. Ambitious citizens are becoming more and more unsettled by the increased proclivity to danger. Who will purge the evil that resides within Icespire Peak, and who will bring about a period of prosperity for the people of Phandalin?
Hello y'all! I'm Roarkt, I'mover 21 (he/him), and I'm looking to form a new group of about 5or 6 players for a weekly game based off of the Icespire Peak 5e adventure. It's a beginner friendly module, and thankfully you'll be playing with a beginner friendly Dungeon Master too. I've both played and hosted official and homebrew D&D 5e games for about 5 years now, and I'd love to get back into the swing of things with some like-minded folks off the Interwebs! I try to provide an even smattering of opportunities to roleplay and engage in combat. I think my previous players would agree that it's about 65% roleplay to 35% combat. That being said, when combat breaks out, I intend on it being meaningful, challenging, and/or rewarding. Why else would you psychos choose to put your lives on the line as adventurers? Since we're playing a tabletop-roleplaying game, I hope to find individuals looking for a collaborative storytelling experience. I'm up for any ideas you'd like to run by me for characters, and I'd love to collaboratively craft a compelling story and character for you to feel adequately immersed within the game. I'm unfamiliar with the 2024 5e rules (and I always will be), so this will be using the rules of the 2014 PHB. We'll also be using Discord for voice communication, D&DBeyond for sheet management, & Roll20 or D&DBeyond for visual representation (I haven't decided yet). As a heads-up to more experienced players, I prefer rolling two sets of stats and allowing the player to choose, I use a few homebrew rules (we can chat about what we like and dislike), and I can provide additional subclass options if players are interested in something other than official content. If you're anxious about the game already, ignore that whole last sentence and just focus on being a considerate human being. That's all it takes to have a fun time at the virtual table.
THAT BEING SAID... ---------------------------------
I have not posted a time yet for this game as I am fairly free throughout the week. I would prefer a game no earlier than 6pm CST during the week, but can do a later time during the weekend if that's what's needed. In the comments or via private message please let me know if a weekly 6pm session-start-time works for you, your name (or alias), if you're over 18 y/o, your Discord username, why you enjoy playing TTRPGs, and your experience with D&D 5e. Character creation will be discussed privately, and any questions are welcome on this thread, or privately. Let's have some fun escaping together!
Hellooo! I'm Feli , I'm 27 and my Discord username is @aupheylie. I've gotten into D&D 4 years ago. Did 1 campaign (unfinished) and 1 oneshot. I haven't played in quite some time but this game is dear and near to me. I'm in the EDT timezone, 6pm CST is okay by me.
Hello! I’m Utsuri, over 21, my discord is @standofone and I would love to be a part of this campaign! I’ve played DnD for a few years off and on and as a DM for some one shots. I am able to play on the weekends past 6 pm CST, and I enjoy TTRPGs because of the personal story you create with each other. Everyone has a unique and special part that I do not think you can find anywhere else!
Hi! I’m sepphhie, I’m over 18, and my discord is sepphhie!! I love playing ttrpgs because they allow me to be creative with other people and I get to escape from my real world troubles and trade them for fictional ones lol
Hello! I'm Crab, I'm over 18, my discord is CrabCakelol I enjoy playing ttrpgs, because I get to try out new characters that I otherwise would never think about as I build for the setting I'm in!
Also a note, I have started DMing Icespire peak in the past, Never got to completion, but it's been so long I don't really remember much of the module except Gnomengarde, which I unfortunately know too well! I won't metagame though!
Haaaiiii I'm Bebby, I'm over 18. My Discord username is bebby_binkins and I've been in one oneshot and that's it. My friends thought I did well. I am interested!
