Day - Friday Time - 5pm EST Schedule - Once Weekly Focus Themes - Exploration, Survival, Roleplay Party size - 4 to 6 players [I am only looking for 18+ individuals for the group due to planned mature themes such as use of narcotics, possible gore and suggestive material, you have been warned.] (I do not tolerate the use of AI, I'm an artist myself so if you need art of your character I can help you find/come up with something.)
A little backstory before I get into the meat of the pitch, I've technically been running this campaign for a little while already with a few friends, but due to some scheduling reasons (they're all brits and I'm American) we haven't been able to play very much recently, so to fill the void I've elected to start running a split campaign in the same world with the same general premise, anything done in the original campaign will not effect this campaign and vice versa. Think of it nothing more than a proof of concept.
I have a homebrew race already made for slug cats, if you plan on playing one, it is what you will use for your character sheet, other intelligent species such as scavengers are on the table as well although I'll have to brain blast a homebrew race for them, which is easy I just haven't done it yet, however iterators are not playable for reasons that would spoil the story. I have also created a hunger system for the game as I'm trying to follow as close to the original games mechanics as possible, rations and diet will be an actually important resource to manage.
That being said, here's the world premise. The story takes place shortly after the events of the Survivor campaign in the timeline but before Rivulet, but in a different part of the world at a different iterators superstructure.
Refugees. You and many others are fleeing a lost home, whatever can you originate from has collapsed, a catastrophic failure you were not aware of until it was too late to manage, too late to do anything about, you were given a tiny warning in the form of holograms from the many observers that populated your old home, four cycles. That was all it took, all the time you were given to take anything you could or gather anyone you cared about and flee, into the dunes of the wastes between, into the unknown, before your old home collapsed into a sinkhole behind you. You form a small, uneasy colony with the other escapees, many of your own kind and many not, even the scavengers have opted it better to join you than to try and take from you, even a few tamed lizards were allowed to stay with your rag tag group of traumatized animals, but the wastes are harsh, predators, no food, but a lot of water, rain regularly beats down on your caravan and shelter in the form of caves or ruins are rare, many don't survive the journey. You pass many other superstructures on your way through the wastes, none have a way in and you're forced to move on, until one, in an area with a peculiarly clear sky, you find a way in through the retaining walls with whatever is left of you and your companions... And some of you start feeling strange energies from within your bodies, how odd.
I have a great many home rules that can be explored around session 0 or simply as they come up in game, obviously since this is DND I'll be using a bit of stretch logic to make caster classes work but nothing is off the table, I also have a discord server that we'll be playing in that I'll send invites to after a small interview, my friends and I host our games there and this is my excuse to get back in the saddle as I haven't been able to DM seriously in almost a year.
if you're interested, feel free to shoot me a friend request on discord @screm or you can send me a PM on DNDB although im much less likely to see that, as of posting this (past midnight) my sleep schedule sucks so im most active at night or early hours, if i dont accept it right away just have patience.
