Game Detail Specifics: Game Medium: ONLINE VTT- ROLL20 SCHEDULE/DAY/TIME: Every other week, current Game runs on Mondays 12pm Central Time Sessions: 4hr Sessions Next Session: September 21st Current Number of Players: 5 (Including the GM) Edition: Both 5th and 5.5 Editions, along with some homebrew (Upon DM's Descrition) Companion Material: Using DRAGONFLIGHT 5e and bits of the DRACONOMICON 3.5e converted to 5e as our sources for character creation/progression.
THE PREMISE IN A NUTSHELL: Players will take up the role of playing a dragon in a world called Qorin, that is struggling to lift itself up, to find its footing and define itself in the aftermath of an apocalyptic war wrought by Dragons of the previous age. Our story will begin some time after the war, anywhere from 100 to 110 yrs after this event.
On that note, Dragons have become pariahs and outcasts in Qorin. Hunted, demonized and shunned due to the blame most other creatures attribute them for the current state of the world.
CURRENT STATE OF THE GAME: We have been playing for almost a year now and in the midst of this, one of our players left. After a table discussion, we concluded that our table could use one more player to fill that spot.
The Players are currently still in their Wyrmling Stage, level 6 to be exact. We are about to perform a year's worth of time skip, therefore, now would be a great time to fill that spot.
They've escaped with their lives from an incursion by a tyrannical Ancient Blue Dragon who destroyed their home and their foster parents. Fleeing through an interplanar gateway connected to other parts of the world through a network of ley lines across the globe. Which dropped them off in a land that is brand new to them (an Environment like Iceland/Scottland), wrought with extensive mysteries and dangers. They are currently exploring this land, trying to establish a home for themselves, all the while they have encountered an underground community of Halflings, had a series of confrontations with a rampaging maniacal tribe of Hill Giants, developed some sort of alliance with an ancient Deep Dragon, uncovered secrets of a forgotten past, befriended an orphaned Young Brass Dragon and helped rescue her twin sister from Hill Giant capture, and are currently questioning whether to leave their newly discovered area due to the dangers that surround them, or simply establish a new home near by. This is where the time skip will play in. The new addition to our table would insert here after that time skip.
The Table: Our table consists of myself and 4 players. One is playing a a College of Spirits Bard- Crystal Dragon, Rogue Thief- Lullaby Dragon (variation of a Song Dragon), 3rd Party Class (Akin to fighter/barbarian)- Blue Dragon, Flame Sorcerer- Red Dragon. Preferably looking for someone to fill in a combative or healing roll. Or perhaps both. We currently only have one front liner, and another quasi front liner, and no consistent healer. Along with some experience, especially in role playing! Everyone here is very mature and respectful towards one another. Fostering grace, understanding, light hearted jokes, encouragement, patience and genuine player support. If that is your playstyle please feel free to message me directly and we discuss anything further from here or on Discord at traverser_alan.. Thank you!
TYPE OF PLAYER I AM LOOKING FOR: A player who helps foster a cohesive table. On that note, I am looking for players who take story telling serious. However, never at the expense of fostering a fun and safe environment for everyone at the table. Players who play fair, are honest, great at team work, defend and uphold civility and respect towards their fellow players, help create a place that encourages everyone some time under the spotlight and help them find there voice/character in the game. Who are eager to help create/tell a story as unique as the premise sounds. Not looking for players who predicate on the premise of pure chaos, power gaming, playing or being a brooding butt-hole, (insert negative traits here), etc. etc.
ABOUT THE GM: My name is Alan, I have been GM'ing for 6yrs now. Playing DND for just as long both as a player and a GM. I have run one other long term campaign and now mainly stick to short term stories (I.e oneshots/minicampaigns) which is what I prefer. I tend to use a cinematic/rules oriented/rule of cool/collaborative storytelling. Heavy emphasis on the collaborative storytelling.
