Who I'm looking for: 2-3 players that can post semi-regularly Timezone: Either US or EU based. Experience: Any Age: 18+
Humor and expectations: Our humor is dark, silly and vulgar at times. If you're sensitive about certain topics and/or can't handle your mom jokes, then don't bother please. As for expectations, the world has a lot of depth, lore and new mechanics to learn, as well as the fact that it's not forgiving. Mistakes follow characters throughout the campaign and result in outcomes that are completely unexpected even to me. The other players, just like you, make mistakes that may not align with what your character, therefore you, wanted. The key is understanding that what you get by the end of an adventure will probably be different than what you imagined, for better or for worse.
Very Important is the fact that this is not the beginning of the campaign. We're approaching the ending of Act 1 and things will change a whole lot. Added to that is the fact that 3/6 of my players have life messing with their schedules and can't post as often, so I'd like a few more people to bring things to life a little. No knowledge of the IP is required, this is treated as a vastly different story from the witch hat atelier IP. While there are similarities, such as the coned and brimmed hats, the magic system and the map, those are all expanded upon and treated in their own unique way. As long as you're willing to learn and follow the steps, you too can be a proper witch in this world.
What you should bring: Willingness to understand 2 things: this is a homebrew campaign, so it won't play like regular dnd aside from skill checks, and that there is a different kind of system for magic and custom skill trees that replace level features. All my players draw their spells, you will do the same. If you don't want to, that's fine, but you don't get to complain that you're not getting stronger. If that's a deal breaker for you, then so be it.
About The Campaign: Set after a presumed end of the events in the actual story of Witch Hat Atelier, this campaign focuses on how the world has changed after the Brimmed Hats attacked and killed many coned hat witches. In a world filled with magic and dark secrets, you must find your way to thread life in a fair way, as a coned hat, or unfair, as a wild or brimmed hat witch. Depending on when and how you join, you will be assigned to one of 2 parties. First are the 'good' witches, 3 of them, of which 2 are soon to face trial for being dangers to the witch society, those two have doomsday devices attached to them, and they have unearthed certain evils that should've stayed buried. On the other side there are the 'bad' witches that are currently living in a keep. One of them helped give birth to a demon prince baby and have formed connections with 2 local gangs, one of which they trade body parts for blood, and the same player plans to take over a kingdom to start a world war.
