Dragonlance Campaign, Dragons of Despair [Wednesdays at 530 pm Central] Paid Campaign

Hello, fellow Dragonlance fans!
I’m Faenor, a professional DM with a deep love for Krynn. I am putting together a campaign, converting the old modules to 2024 rules, starting with Dragons of Despair!
The game will use some hardcore rules for crits, critical misses, lingering wounds, rest mechanics, and more, as well some of the text of spells from older editions.
We are planning on starting out at level one, doing some small, one-shot style quests as a way for the characters to bond before they art company for five years, then starting the campaign proper in Solace as the heroes gather to share what they have found.
Character choice will be open, with players choosing between playing one of the legacy characters, such as Sturm or Tasselhoff, or making their own character. The only character not available will be Raistlin, for reasons obvious to anyone who knows the books!

Edition: D&D 2024
Game Type: Online, using Roll20 and Discord.
Session Times: Every Wednesday evening at 5:30 pm
Seats Available: 3-4. We have two players already, an older player and fan of the novels, and a younger player just being introduced to the world.
Player Experience Level: Moderate to veteran, but there is certainly room for a new player who is a fan of the books and a fast study.
DM Experience: Veteran of 30+ years playing and running various editions.
Character Generation: Level one, using primarily races native to Krynn, with the exception of very human-looking dragonborn. Stats allotted using standard array (unless the party votes otherwise in session 0!)

Game style: Medium to high RP (depending on the table), low puzzles, high problem-solving, high exploration and resource development. Looking for a moderately deep game with laid back people.
Session Fee: $30 per session.

About the Table

 I have been playing table-top for over 30 years and am happy to bring my skills online! I really enjoy running games. I love world-building, creating epic plots for players, weaving a good myth/ story, and providing that feeling that a party has after a great session.

 I am looking for players who are interested in an immersive, rules-medium game style in original and player-driven worlds. I tend toward character concept, action, player involvement in world events, grounded settings, some sandboxing, and the option for tactical combat. I enjoy a wide-ranging game, and from session to session it may involve intrigue, exploration, suspense, epic combats, and a rich environment. I enjoy character expression and character backstories and take a lot of input from characters in terms of the type of game they want to play or how they interpret the world that I am describing for them. My campaigns create a story that is a unique creation of the whole table of players. 

 If you are interested in focusing on character and story over power level, want an interactive and co-creative game experience,  playing around in the imaginary settings, or would like to play with a creative dungeon master of nearly 30 years’ experience then you will probably enjoy my campaigns.
