The country of Hullenon is a largely happy place. No one has money. No one needs money. The economy works on the basis that everything is everybody’s. No one uses or takes more than they need. For example: The orchardist needs shoes. The shoe maker will give him shoes. The baker requires apples, so the orchardist supplies him all the apples he needs. The shoemaker requires leather, so the tanner supplies it. The tanner requires baked goods, so the baker supplies it. It is true for all citizens of Hullenon, from all trades, goods and services. Any surplus, (and until recently, there has always been a lot of surplus) get exported. The gold that is profited from export is meticulously accounted for by the City Clerk. Gold is only used rarely. The primary use is to import goods that Hullenon does not produce. The only other time gold is used is if a citizen wants to leave and go o’er th wa’er . It is worth noting that there is no poverty, and the quality of goods and workmanship is among the very best in the multiverse.
However, the surplus is dwindling and the quality is lessening. The High Priest of the Temple of the God Munificus and his wife, the Goddess Qualitas, has sent out a mystic message to the multiverse, requesting a group of skilled adventurer’s. The Great Scepter that allows the two Gods to meet and touch and be in marriage has been stolen and must be returned to its correct place or Hullenon will be reduced to a land of dust, desert and muddy swamps. You are tasked with finding that sceptre and restoring the marriage of Qualitas and Munificus.
