The mists of Barovia close behind you, and there is no escape. Strahd von Zarovich is watching.
I'm Aaron — a DM of nearly 40 years and a paid GM since 2020, rated 5.0 stars across 5 reviews on StartPlaying. This will be my second run of Curse of Strahd.
Game details - Weekly Saturdays, 4:00 PM PT - 3-hour sessions - Levels 1–10, roughly 12–20 sessions - 6 seats total; the campaign starts once 4 players have joined - $25 per player per session - Free session 0 - 18+, newcomers welcome
We'll build characters together using point buy or standard array. All official D&D 5e (2024) books are welcome. Homebrew is not available — the existing rules are plenty to balance without adding a half-troll cleric of the T-Rex to the mix.
The table runs on Discord for voice, with the game on Roll20 or Foundry (final platform confirmed before session 0). I use the X card: if anything crosses a line for you, play it and we stop and adjust, no questions asked.
Expect a living, roleplay-heavy Barovia: a sandbox you can explore freely, NPCs with real agendas, combat with teeth, and a Strahd who actively schemes against the party instead of waiting in his castle. Character death is possible, but never cheap — and retreat is always an option. LGBTQIA+ players are absolutely welcome.
You'll need a computer, a microphone, and a stable internet connection.
