Game: D&D 5e(2014/2024) and open to other systems Group preferred: Online Experience: New Location/Timezone: UK (GMT) Availability: Any day of the week is fine, any time within reason (in other words no waking up at 4am to play D&D). Preferred role: Player Game style: I'm looking for the classic fantasy roleplaying adventure with friends. No dark fantasy. No worlds with discrimination and/or slavery, either.
I've played in a oneshot before. It was with eight players. I'm not saying I would never do it again, but a smaller player group would definitely be preferred for now, while I try to get comfortable with speaking up at the table.
I've watched a few online campaigns and I've gone through the player's handbook looking at my favourite classes so I'm fairly familiar with the 5e 2014 rules, but not so much with 5e 2024 rules. That said, it's one thing to know the rules, and quite another to play a game, as I discovered.
AI art makes me uncomfortable. I understand the appeal of having a picture to give an instant snapshot of the scene, but I'd rather visualise it in my mind's eye as the DM describes it. Same goes for player characters. What you do with AI art in your own time, though, I have no problem with, as long as I don't have to see it or hear about it. :)
For the moment, I would like to play a campaign, so that I can have some time playing one character. Then after that, I might be open to playing more oneshots.
