Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Face-to-face/Online Experience: Played other tabletop games but only a year of D&D so far. Location/Timezone: Lockhart, FL (EST) Availability: Evenings Monday through Thursday (subject to change due to work) Preferred role: Player Game style: I value roleplay over everything else, followed by combat and exploration.
I've been playing games my entire life (I'm 32) but somehow never got into D&D until I moved to Orlando in December of 2017. In essentially every game I've ever played I choose to be in a support role of some kind focusing on control and healing. As such I'm a huge fan of the Cleric and Bard classes and have given myself the eventual goal of playing every variant they offer (I've even created my own homebrew Bard College that I've yet to get to try out). When not healing I love caster classes and so far in my D&D career I've yet to play a martial class.
I'm located in Lockhart and would prefer no more than a twenty mile each way trip for a game (I already travel double that for one of my Sunday groups so that preference is easily broken for a great group). If it's an online game I'd prefer it to be in the evenings between 7pm and 11pm EST. I do have a webcam that can be pointed directly at my dice tray if necessary as I much prefer rolling physical dice than using an app or bot in a chat room to do so.
I love roleplaying. I have a background in writing and improv, so building a meaningful character with a backstory rich in detail is the most important start to any roleplaying experience. If you don't feel connected to your character then you won't be able to embody them. You'll be making the choices for your character instead of them making their own choices.
I currently play in three groups. Two every Sunday, from 12-4 and 5-9. The other two or three times on a month on Wednesday evening for 7:30-10. I'm happy to share my current PCs and their backstories if anyone is interested in getting to know some of my style.
Looking forward to hearing from some of you!
