So as the titled said, I'm hoping to either join/form a group that's interested in a more long term campaign. A healthy balance of both RP and combat would be great, and I'd say a slight skew towards RP is preferred but honestly I'm flexible. So long as the group gels well and the story is fun that's what matters to me. Mostly I just want the campaign to last a while. I love developing characters, seeing how different relationships form and change over time both between PCs and NPCs, and just generally watching an overarching narrative unfold v quicker one shot games.
I have done text based RPing for 7-8ish years, so I'm extremely comfortable with the roleplay aspect of the game, but have unfortunately never gotten a chance to do the actual tabletop side of things, which is what I'm hoping to change. I already have a character rolled and ready to go for level 1 (Dragonborn Warlock), but if I join a campaign in progress I'll obviously get my character up to speed and we can go from there covering any narrative details we need to.
As I mentioned, I haven't gotten to play the tabletop side of the game before, but feel I've done as much reading and studying as I can so while I won't be totally clueless I know I'll make a small mistake here or there. So just a tiny bit of patience is appreciated and I promise I'm a fast learner.
I'm currently living in Hawaii (that grad student life) so that has me 3 hours behind PST and 6 hours behind EST (which will change to 2 and 5 hours respectively once daylight savings hits because Hawaii doesn't take part). My schedule is pretty open all day other than Tuesdays and Thursdays, though a weekend campaign is preferred. Ideally, we'd meet weekly (as best we can, obviously life happens sometimes) and I'd like to at least do a voice chat, but I'm totally down for video as well.
So if you got a group willing to add another player, are a player also LFG or a DM interested in forming a group, you're welcome to respond to this thread. And later we can move to PMs and /or something like Discord as needed.
