About Game: This is not an offical Adventurer's League game (you don't need to have ever played in/signed up in AL to join this game), I am just playing the modules they released on DMsguild, but we are still following the AL rules. (which can be found >>here<<)
Capacity: 4 players, tier 1 characters
Time Length: 4 hours
Date: TBD, either on Wed - Sat, list your availability below.
About DM: If it wasn't already obvious by my name, I am part of the LGBTQ+ community. There is one and only one pronoun you will use in reference to me, and that is the plural "they, them, etc." The only exeption to this is when you are not referencing me, but the npc in which I am DMing as. If you are unable to do this, then this is not the game for you. Other information, I have DMed through all of Mines of Phandelver, went partial way through Curse of Struad, am currently partly through Out of Abyss, and am beginning to DM Waterdeep Dragon hiest. Clearly I have way too much time on my hands with these two games while also both working and going school, that I also wanted to DM this one shot ontop of all of it, but I digress. I am obsessed with the new adventure they put out, and can't get enough of it.
If you would like to play in this one shot, introduce yourself below and who you will be playing. Player with the most dramatic character introduction starts the game with inspiration. (that is actually written in the module). Briefly describe your character's backstory, "Who are they? How did they get here, and why do they seek adventure?", "What event forced your character to become an adventurer?", "Which ideal, bond, or flaw on your character sheet best represents your character?", "What would be the perfect start to your character's story?" et cetera, et cetera.
Basically set the scene, as your character introducing themselves to the other characters at the table, and why you've all come to the Yawning Portal to watch these performances this night.
-Character backstory:Born and raised in a humble village, Dredge a young half elf was part of the town militia. Young and inexperienced he spent most of his days honing his archery and swordsmanship to the best of his ability. Then on one a seemingly quiet night the village came under attack by a vicious band of beasts unidentifiable in the black of night. the meek towns guard alongside Dredge were overwhelmed in the flood of fur and fangs. The beasts easily exhausted the forces of the guard, who began to retreat to try and save the villagers beginning to wake and sense the fear and blood thick in the air. After a short amount of time all that remained standing were 3 of the guard, struggling to evacuate a very small number of villagers. amidst the hysteria Dredge suffered a gash spanning from the top of his brow all the way down his body, nearly killing him but only knocking him out. He awoke the following morning, sight bloodied, with only one eye and witnessing the carnage of the place that was once his home, littered with the remains of the villagers and guards he had called friends there were no signs of the beasts. They had left as quickly as they had arrived leaving no tracks. After putting what remains he could into the graves he had dug, the ground rumbled with heavy footfalls. Expecting the horde to have returned he drew his blade with anticipation of death, but was met with the kings regiment. Upon being discovered by the soldiers he quickly became known as sole survivor of what was known as the Storm fang encounter, adopting it as his last name and as a marker to never forget what had transpired there. He shortly vanished into the wilderness in hopes to find and bring vengeance to those who had massacred his village so they can finally rest at peace.
I included the entire backstory as it enveloped the descriptive questions asked
