We are currently looking for 3-5 players to join a home brew campaign to take place at an expected time of friday or saturday 7:00 MST, possibly a tad later, probably not earlier. New players and experienced players are very welcome, but bear in mind that this will be my first time DMing, so patience, support, and a good deal of improvisation will likely be necessary. We're looking to have a great experience and relax a little bit at the end of the day! We anticipate using Discord's chat or video chat options to meet and play.
once we have enough interested people, we'll have a chat to discuss the type of gameplay that everyone would enjoy, the tone that you all would like to experience, day(s) and frequency with which game sessions would occur, and any other issues which may arise. If you could post your age, what kind of game might interest you, and so on, t'would be much appreciated!
If you have questions, feel free to send me a direct message.
Hello there! Very nice to see new DM's coming into D&D, I would love to be apart of your first campaign and (hopefully) make a good addition the group.
I'm 19, and I'm looking for a solid, roleplay-heavy game that has a good group basis. I love being apart of teams with everyone getting their moments to shine. Also, I was wondering what day the sessions would be on, if you wouldn't mind. If there on a good day, I have a friend who also may be interested in joining with me!
Hey, I'm Orange and I'd love to be apart of a new game! I'm mildly experienced, but I think I know enough not to be annoying, lol.
I'm 17 and I like roleplaying quite a bit. I've been looking for a campaign similar to critical role, though obviously not on the same scale or production value. I like team-play, and trying to take the game seriously, while still being fun and lighthearted. I'm good at most times, but it might get a bit iffy on saturdays.
I'd love to talk more in discord, my name is The Orangey Orange, #2212
I might as well throw my hat into this ring! I'm 21, I got into DnD about half a year ago thanks to Critical Role and have done my fair share of one shots, but I'm now looking for a fun and possibly long term campaign.
What I enjoy most in a game is the RP and player-to-player interaction as well as getting immersed in my own character and the world presented. Combat and exploration are close seconds. I'm perfectly content to play whatever role's needed, as long as everyone has fun at the end of the day. My discord is Somedudex#6829 if you ever want to reach out!
Heyo! This sounds right up my alley! Always happy to help out fledgling DMs.
I've been playing 5e for about a year now, and I'd be happy to join your campaign!
I'm 21 years of age, and I've always loved character-centric stories and am in love with the concept of roleplaying said characters - especially in a campaign setting. The way that player characters interact, the dynamic of a party, all of it!
Feel free to contact me at LoliNeckbeard#1563 on discord.
Hi, if you are still looking for players let me know, would be interested in joining!
I am 27 and I have been playing 5e since 2014 (basically started upon release).
In terms of what I look for in a campaign these are my thoughts:
1) Balance between encounters and everything else (I find campaigns with pretty much only combat as boring as campaigns with too little combat);
2) Interaction between character storylines and the campaign storyline is a pretty damn cool thing.
3) Rules are crucial but the story and the adventure are what role-playing games are built on. Common sense is very important when applying rules. Extreme example: Player: My sword was damaged in the last fight can I use mend on it? DM: no the cantrip says you can repair only one crack/tear, yours have two (obviously different if the sword is broken in half). Me: facepalm.
4) Decisions don't always have to be between obviously good actions and obviously evil actions. I love when situations with no win-win scenarios present themselves forcing the party to actually debate what's the best path to take/side to help.
5) Ability from every player to communicate reasonably well in the same language. I am not a native English speaker but have played campaigns in English before and it was really hard to involve, interact and joke with players that weren't able to follow the narration or a conversation with an NPC or between the characters.
Awesome! We'll be picking the last couple of players today- i'll be sending those who have posted messages with my doscord so we can have a chat and narrow things down- many thanks!!
Hi, if you're still looking for players I would be interested in joining the game! I have only played once before, and it was only a short 4 hour session, but I really caught the bug! I am in the Eastern timezone but the MST start time fits perfect into my schedule.
Here is what I'm looking for in a game:
1. I am looking for a gaming group that I can rely on to be playing regularly.
2.I am looking for a group that is OK with a new player. I do my best to know the rules and to make sure I'm not making any big mistakes, all I ask is that people don't beat me down too much when I do something dumb.
3. I want a good balance of combat and RP. I have an idea for a sorcerer that I have built up in my head and would very much like to explore their life in the world someone creates.
Feel free to reach out to me on discord at Crimson#8678 and we can chat a bit more.
