I am looking to run a group of 5 players in the Waterdeep: Dragon Heist module, and then to turn into a "Descent into Avernus" game at the module's conclusion.
I am looking for role-playing focused players who know the basis of 5e rules, who are interested in making rich, interesting characters.
We are going to start our 8th Waterdeep: Dragon Heist game next week on the 23rd of October Friday 07:30 PM GMT+3, All further sessions will take place at the same time. We are a bit of a mature group so, please don't apply if you are younger than 20, I need more mature (emotionally if not chronologically) players preferred, and aiming for a 1:1.25 gender balance (either side). We will be using Roll20 and discord to play. New players are welcome; there is no need to worry if you don't have the books since I can share them with you on D&DBeyond. We will also use Syrinscape for sound_FX.
P.S. I do try to make this game RP heavy since I do enjoy players RP'ing more, obviously with at least one combat per session.
About myself:
I have been GM’ing for 5 years on and off and I have 5000 hours in roll 20, nearly all of my hours spent have been spent GM’ing. I’m also extremely punctual so games won’t be cancelled unless a crisis has occurred. I will run this game with premium art assets and maps as well as all the pro roll20 features.
About the game:
The players have had 7 sessions so far and still in chapter 2, so they haven't started the main plot yet. I am looking for one more player. Our current party consists of a druid, a cleric, a warlock and an artificer. Thus begins a mad romp through the wards of Waterdeep as you uncover a villainous plot involving some of the city’s most influential figures. A grand urban caper awaits you. Pit your skill and bravado against villains the likes of which you’ve never faced before, and let the dragon hunt begin!
• Character development is important and character motives should drive the game. Characters should be the kind of people you can imagine being and who you wouldn't loath being around.
• What PC's do in the game matters and can shape the way the factions behave towards each other and towards the PCs.
• Rule of Fun wins over Rules as Intended most of the time - the point is to have fun, have low-stress adventures, not break the game.
P.S. This is (If you haven't guessed already) a heavy RP campaign, so if you like the combat more this might not be for you.
How I’m running this:
• You will start at lvl 3
• The party will be 5 people
• We will use discord for VC
• We will use Syrinscape online player for the sound_FX
• Decent microphone required, with hardly any background noise.
• I allow all officially released content. (yes you can play Aarakocra or winged Tieflings)
• You can multi-class later on without having your backstory explain why.
• I will be running the Alexandrian/DM’s Bundle version of this adventure.
• We are using point-buy for stats.
• I will be finalising the applications on the 22nd of October (I will send a message in the applications page informing everyone that the time period ended)
• I allow (PHB, SCAG, XGtE, EEPC, MToF, ERftLW, AI) I will also let people play Aasimars from VGtM but only Aasimars none of the monstrous races.
