Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online (Discord for chat and Roll20 for rolls/map) Preferred Experience: Any, as long as you are willing to put in effort Location/Timezone: CST (we have players from all over the US and Canada) Schedule: Every Thursday from 8PM to 10PM CST (FIRM quitting time of 10PM CST, we will never go late) Roles sought: 2 Players Game style: Roleplay. Be prepared for puzzles, brain teasers, strategic combat, social maneuvering, etc. This is not a hack-n-slash for the most part. Not every session will have combat.
I'm a DM of middling experience getting ready to dive into my first long-term campaign. Game is set in a homebrew world that is extremely well-developed (it's a shared world that myself and another DM work on together, he runs a campaign in it and I'm starting mine in it...there's ton to explore here.) We have an established group that has been playing together for about half a year in other games. We are LGBTQ+ friendly. We are a group of all ages, but this is NOT a game that is appropriate for kids. Cuss words, dark situations, etc, do happen.
Honestly, we're a pretty laid-back and friendly crew, we just ask that everyone puts in the effort. Show up and get immersed in your character. Do funny voices if you want, go all out with your backstory, forget about the "real world" for a time. That's what we're about.
This campaign begins Feb 28 with a Session Zero and a roll party (we all roll our character stats together, it's an absolute hoot to see who gets what crappy rolls). An initial world intro goes out the weekend of Feb 2, with character backstories due by Feb 20 so I've got some time to come up with rewards for amazing backstories.
I'm EST but I'd be up for joining. I'm 27 and have a decent amount of experience with 5e (over a year) through 2 relatively long running campaigns, one homebrew, one Lost Mine. My discord is BlackWaltz47#5926
Thanks for the replies and messages, dang this went faster than I expected. I'll be in touch with those who have replied/messaged, and am closing this call now. Thanks!
I hope I'm not too late for you guys, I'd really be interested in what campaign you have in mind. I've always enjoyed the high-immersion campaigns where combat isn't the be all and end all. Let me know if you end up having room for me, otherwise see you next time hopefully!
EDIT: CLOSED. Thanks!
